Awesome breakfast burrito! The 505 burrito is where it's at. I have no idea why a coffee shop in Florida is slinging around Hatch Green Chile from New Mexico on their burritos, but I'm absolutely not complaining. Most people this far from New Mexico assume green chile is Jalapeños 😂. I got the 505 burrito with the green chile queso on it, and it was the full package. The burrito was hot, fresh, and smothered in cheese and TOPPED with a little mound of green chile. Adorable and delicious. I was a little worried this one burrito wouldn't fill me up, but it's actually a decent amount of food. The mocha was well-made, too, and both the food and drinks were ready very quickly. Despite the shop being fairly busy, the employees were patient and friendly. Heads-up: Covington serves up coffee with strong Christian overtones, which is cool in it's own right. I might go to hell for this comment but Sinners should be prepared to get sucker-punched by scripture posted on the walls thorough the cafe. I felt like a heathen just coming there for the coffee and food. I know it's not Christian to judge, but I felt like some of the customers give off a "holier than thou" vibe. Example: I dropped a plate while bringing it to the dirty dish pickup, and a table of people literally stared at me for about 20 seconds straight without saying a word while I picked it up. Creepy. Maybe I just surprised them and I'm over-analyzing here, but the shop itself is warm, inviting, and tasty! The Good Book says to store your treasures in heaven, but Covington is quite the gem...
Read moreI quit my addiction toStarbucks to focus my patronage on local businesses awhile back and in my search for an alternative coffee spot, Covington's opened up right around the corner as if a divine sign from the heavens. The owners and staff are so friendly, and their coffee plays a genuinely strong rival against the processed, corporatized flavor that is Starbucks. They're a small shop with big heart and I look forward to their delicious brews and blended drinks. They operate a drive-through as their main mode of service but also have outdoor seating in the back of the building if you prefer to catch some sun and relax for a bit. My favorite go-to order is the "Biggish" blended mocha with an extra shot of espresso. It's delicious and refreshing in this Florida heat. They even hand out pup cups if you have a four legged companion with you. They have a great menu selection and even some really delicious muffins and bagels with gluten free options too. I would share pics but already finished my drink 😂 I'll be sure to share pics next time! Can't...
Read moreI absolutely love CMCC! Every time I walk in I feel like I’m visiting my family. I’ve brought all of my out of town guests there so they can enjoy CMCC too! My brother and his wife from MN, my son and wife from TX, my parents from MS, a friend and her husband from Ocala—all of my guests walked away with a big smile also! The workers are super friendly and service is above and beyond. The spirit of God is in that place and you can feel it the moment you walk in! I love it! The atmosphere is peaceful, positive, and perfect! The drinks are delicious! Because I love the Jeremiah 33:3, I usually get that one but I have tried a few others and they are great too! I’ve had a few of the food items too and each one has been awesome! My favorite, though is the smothered burrito. I could literally keep bragging on this place for a long time, but I’ll wrap it up with I’m thankful for the Covingtons and their...
