My sister and I had a surprise birthday get together for our daddy who was turning 70 at the watering hole. Usually we trick daddy into cooking for his own party but we thought at his age we would try to take it easy on em and maybe even surprise him for real! And thankfully, no body spilled the beans and we did it! His sister from st Petersburg/Tampa was able to come even after enduring hurricane. Also got His old roommates from college to join us, some come from as far north as Montana to help us celebrate! And at their ages they actually still remembered, seen, and heard each other. Lol 🥳 Anyhow, this was our first party/special occasion we've had there and I'm glad to say I couldn't of been happier and we will do it again if they'll have us! 🤠 The staff was excellent! The food was delicious! And the stress taken away from not having to 'do it all' aloud for our family and friends to visit and enjoy the atmosphere and even my sister and I could actually join in. 😉 Priceless! The girls kept us moving in the right direction as soon as the empty plates started disappearing it was on to the cake and then gifts and we never felt rushed or anything. It went very smoothly and I believe everyone enjoyed their visit. 🤗 There is only one thing that bugs me about them, well it's not even them, it's not their fault or in their control I'm sure and that's the location and lack there of, of a dang turning lane right there in front of the restaurant. Having to pass em by and then bust a U-y kinda sucks, just my opinion. Will it hinder my going, not if it's planned out ahead of time.. although if I'm pulling the trailer and I'm headed towards Sebring, then yes, I would totally wait til another restaurant up the road to pull off to eat that's more convenient. The county really could put a turning lane in right there so it would be a bit easier to get there without the u turn... And I'm sure I'm not the only one to ever mention it so is what it is. No worries. But like I said, nothing against the watering hole whatsoever! The parking is decent. The restaurant including the outside bar area and inside everywhere was clean, cozy and cute. The bathrooms were clean and functional. The servers were on point, no empty drink or dirty plate sat for too long. And everyone was very kind and helpful. Thank y'all so much for your friendly service, great atmosphere, and delicious food. I look forward to dining again in the future and I'll def recommend y'all to...
Read more9/19 back at the bar w/Jess. Got the pretzel and tuna poke appetizer. It was really good and it's the same poke as the tacos. So if you just want pure protein get that and toss chips aside (that's what i did). Also had the Jess special punch - good!
6/9 solo with Lora at the bar. Great service as usual. Got the Chicken Parm, it was "ok", the sauce was slightly sweet (not a fan) and the cheese was barely melted on one piece of dimensional chicken. This dish is not as good as all the other pasta dishes, strange but true.
Note to owners: you can do better with your drink specials and get some food specials for high profile games! And please think about having "Sound On" for those games.( Don't close at 9pm) 5/9 solo dinner outside at the bar. Kevin provided great service. Got the Cowpokes Cajun Fettuccine with chicken, it was really good. And the punch... It's nice.
3/6/25 back for solo dinner. Inside bar, Cindy was great. Tuna poke tacos and the punch... All good.
10/28 dinner at the bar. G3 WS.... Big pretzel and the Cajun chicken sandwich. Df60 & VR ipa. All good!
9/30 back for dinner @ the bar. I finally had the Chicken Piccatta, it was really good! Lots of capers.
8/6 back for dinner at the bar with my friend. We split the bacon wrapped asparagus (really good) and the Poké tacos. 7/10 solo dinner at the bar. Poké tacos & blue star Margarita. 4/22 back for dinner with my friend. I had fettuccine & Northern cream sauce with chicken, really good. My friend had the chicken piccatta - she said it was good. I'll need to try that next time.
2/14/24 Back for a late night dinner at the outdoor bar. Excellent service! I didn't want to eat too heavy so i got the Bavarian pretzel, escargot and a side of sauteed mushrooms. All were very good. A nice glass of the Pinot and it was a perfect meal.
12/13/23 I've been here a couple of times but it's been several years since. The food was really good. After reading other reviews about the tacos, I got the Poké tuna Tacos. They were really good and stuffed with tuna! Overflowing even- (pic). The big pretzel was good too. I will certainly get that again for an appetizer. Our server Jeff was great. I'll do my best to...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Cowpoke's for my birthday and this restaurant did not disappoint. For starters, when we arrived we did not know that Cowpoke's offers a birthday special of up to $15 off the entree of anyone celebrating their birthday. You just have to show your ID. This was an added bonus! The inside of the restaurant is very welcoming and the staff have done a wonderful job of enacting social distancing with their table placement. In fact, I would say this restaurant has set the gold standard on how restaurants should place tables. Our waitress, Kayla, was very friendly and told us about the restaurant, and how it has line dancing, trivia, and a host of other live events during their normal operation. These added extras are just one of the reasons my wife and I will definitely return. As for the food, I ordered their 20oz New York Strip, which came with a side (I ordered fried zucchini) while my wife opted for a smaller filet and baked potato. Also with the dinner came bottomless garlic bread and bottomless salad, both of which were outstanding. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection and was very juicy with a solid flavor. I could not believe the size of the zucchini and it tasted great, also. Kayla was very attentive and was quick to refresh the salad and bread multiple times. I will say the beer is bit pricey at $6 a glass but that will not be a deterrent on our returning in the future. All in all a...
