My family and I recently visited Dairy Queen, and I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the establishment. It was evening, and the place was bustling with activity, yet everything was spotless!
A young man named Jay was working hard, cleaning tables and floors while greeting every single customer with joy and enthusiasm. His upbeat attitude truly enhanced our experience, and I had to ask his name to include him in this review.
When I finally reached the counter, I ordered the six-piece chicken tender basket, which comes with fries and a drink, and I couldn't resist getting a mint Oreo Blizzard for dessert. To my surprise, our order was prepared remarkably quickly—a rarity in today's fast-food world! A young lady named Lindsey delivered our food to the table, and she was just as delightful! With her bubbly personality and huge smile, she brightened our day even more.
The level of customer service we experienced was truly outstanding and a breath of fresh air in today's dining landscape. I want to give a huge shoutout to Jay and Lindsey—they were the stars of our visit, and they truly embody what great service should look like. Their enthusiasm and dedication make this location stand out, and I hope the management recognizes the true assets they are.
The only suggestion I'd make is for employees to wear name tags so that customers like me don’t have to ask for names. But honestly, everything else was perfect! Thank you, Dairy Queen, for a fantastic experience! Keep up...
Read moreI'm not going to give my a treat a negative comment I got a sundae it was fine. What I want to mention is the staff.
I did a mobile order and working in food service I knew I'd have to wait no big deal. I walked in two ringers were working each had a customer one was a worker on break. I was standing two feet from the counter and 5 people including what appeared to be the shift manager ignored me. It took 8 minutes for an employee to acknowledge me and ask what I was getting. Rule of thumb is if a customer is within 5 feet you greet them. Where I work we always acknowledge customers as they come through the door. That may be excessive but it's what my company wants. Customers that close to counter when staff is not busy with other customers need to be acknowledged with a hi or I'll be with you in a moment.
Now while all this is going on (reference attached photo) the girl on the right with her hair up was really rude to the two coworkers she's speaking with, oh I mean berating. I get people not doing what you want them to but berating your coworkers is a poor way to do it. Try coaching them and explaining to them why something is done a certain way and what the expectations are. And do it in the back of the house not behind the counter where it can be seen and heard. The other girl was visibility upset with how she was treated.
Be better, train your staff in customer service and train your crew leaders (I'm assuming she was) to treat the employees with respect.
