Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Florida

Well let me just start by saying that this particular Dq Grill & Chill is one of the worst ones in town by far. The service is slow and they are usually rushing you through your order which is funny considering that if there is just a simple 5 cars there, you can be certain to wait 20 mins minimum. This particularly isn't a deal breaker for me however when you receive cold and burned food with a half melted shake, well then you have basically wasted 40 dollar's and an hour of your time. It's just an unexceptional experience all around. You're hard earned money and time is undoubtedly best used else where. Ordering Chicken tenders will undoubtedly make your order 25 mins at the very least and it's ridiculous considering you can cut chicken strips, bread and cook them all in under 15 mins. Dq is most likely serving frozen tenderloin out of a bag and just frying them 8 minutes at the most. So why on earth you have to wait that long is honestly a joke and the standard set at this particular location is obviously low and no precedent for the customers money and time is taken on into consideration what so ever. Usually, great but this time there were 4 employees and a manager standing around talking to each other when my son and I walked in. It took 5mins of standing at the register for any of them to even look at us.. Finally, a few minutes later the manager comes over with no hello just a "What do you want to order?" While ordering my son's food she cut me off and tried to finish off the order before I could even start on mine! Types in order swipes my card shoves a receipt at me and walks away. She doesn't give me the cups for the drinks I ordered and paid for (so I had to go and wait at the counter again to be acknowledged by any of the employees there so we could at least have a drink) The kid on the grill is upset we ordered and manager yells out "sorry I just can't leave them up there and not sell the food!" After 20mins the food came out and it was great tried the new a1 burger and enjoyed the rest of our visit.. I was shocked to be treated like a burden instead of a paying customer. We have been here several times and it’s hit or miss. The service is ok. We usually eat in the dining room but this last time we did the drive thru. It took forever for them to bring our food. The lady at the drive thru counter said to move up behind the other car. There was no car so I pulled around and we waited like 10 minutes. Then an employee stuck her head out the window and asked me to proceed around the building as the car behind me needed to exit. We drove around and proceeded to wait another five minutes for the food. The food was good but it takes a long time to get the food out. This time we didn’t order any ice cream. When we eat inside if we do order ice cream I always ask to get that at the end of our meal so it doesn’t melt. The food is good but the service isn’t the greatest.
