This food truck visited our subdivision this evening. I ordered the bowl which consisted of chopped and torn marinated chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, Spanish rice, sour cream and Mexican street corn...splashed with a bit of homemade mildly spicy tomatillo sauce. A side of warm, salty tortilla chips further enhanced the experience.
It actually tasted like food from old Mexico. And that's a good thing! Clearly way above the dribble served served at the local chain Mexican restaurants.
My rating, as always, is based solely on my comparison of this establishment versus other Mexican eateries in the area. It's a food truck so there is no real atmosphere or ambiance to speak of. The truck was clean and the owner/chef was friendly and engaging. The menu is limited.
