The host, Cameron was very professional and friendly. He told us a little bit about the restaurant because this was our first visit and he also let us know that Erica would be our server. Our server, erica, was very friendly and efficient. She answered all the questions we had without displaying any impatience or attitude. She was very sweet and kind. The wings were advertised online as being $0.60 a piece on Tuesday nights which is one of the reasons we decided to try Hogbody's. When we got there, however, we were told that they were 85 cents a piece. Now, it's only a $0.25 difference on each Wing but when you order 10 that makes $2.50 difference. Not trying to be a shrew here, but, isn't it illegal to advertise in print the price of something and then change the price at the actual location? They should either honor the price that is on the website when you tell them that's what you saw or they need to change the website. My husband said the wings were very good and he enjoyed them. They offered a dressing on the side for his wings and he chose ranch and they charged him $0.90 for a little container of ranch dressing! They didn't mention the fact that they were selling it to him when they made the offer. That was a little surprising. Most places will include a small container of dressing with your wings. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich meal which came with two sides. The tenderloin was huge nice and crispy, very tasty, and not dry at all. I cut it in half and made my sandwich. It really was delicious. For my two sides I chose the baked beans and the applesauce. I had read online that the applesauce was really good and it was! It was a chunky applesauce, sweet and delicious. The baked beans were made with onions and bacon and we're very tasty but a little bit too much on the sweet side for my taste, and I actually like sweets. Draft beers were three dollars each which is a great price for dining out. Aside from the fact that they didn't honor their advertised price for the wings and they charge $0.90 for a tiny cup of dressing, all in all it was a good value for our money. The restaurant had cozy inside dining. We didn't see any outside dining area. Now that we know the true prices and how they charge for things, we will still go back. We saw many other dishes coming out and being served to other patrons that looked wonderful and we'd like the opportunity to...
Read moreI went in last night with my brother in law and sister for dinner as I have never been here. The atmosphere was delightful but lacking in hospitality. I know you have young adults working the front door and that is awesome. They just need the personality to reflect welcoming experience. There was not one smile at all and definitely no warm welcome in. There was a young man rolling silverware as it looks like he was helping the hostess, which was great...just he kept rubbing his running nose and then bare handing the top of the silverware that you put in your mouth. I did notice the young lady that was putting the wrap around them even look at him and noticed but did nothing. So maybe some coaching and developing needs to be addressed at the front door with little bit more enthusiasm. I never once knew the server name as she was not welcoming as well. She was very quick, short and robotic. So not a lot to say about her as we didn't see her a whole lot. When I received my meal, which was your Thursday special. Ribs/Shrimp combo. The Ribs were barley sauced and barely Luke warm. The Shrimp tasted like it was fried in long over due fryer clean and oil change. The pasta salad was completely boiled pasta with no seasoning added to any of the ingredients. Very plain. The baked potato was probably the best part of the meal as it was baked perfectly, I was just disappointed that you don't load them up if requested with cheese, bacon etc. I guess overall this is a place to have medicore food with sub par service. Like I said and looked around, I didn't see one team member smile or even looking like the were enjoying their jobs. I would go back again, but it wouldn't be my first choice if other options were available...
Read moreIn the country – worth the drive! We had heard about their wings and ribs so we gave it a try. Check their website for Daily Specials. We went on a Sunday and the special that day was a full rack of ribs with two sides for $16.99. My wife and I both ordered the full slab of ribs dinner. My wife chose cornbread and green beans as sides, I chose baked beans and pasta salad. As Grace told us, the green beans are done in a crock pot with a buttery broth – very tasty. The cornbread was like a slightly sweet cornbread cake. Very light and we loved it. Grace said the pasta salad was incredible and it was. Rotini pasta joined with cubed salami and two cheeses, tossed in a light dressing. The baked beans were as good as any I’ve had. The ribs are perfectly tender, not falling off the bone, but right on the edge. We both enjoyed the sauce on the ribs with just a little sweetness and allowed to caramelize enough to create some crispy edges here and there. I asked if these were done in a smoker and they were not. They bake them in an oven. I’m sure I tasted a hint of smoke and I suspect that a little Liquid Smoke may be in the sauce. They were very good. As my pictures show, these slabs are not as large as what you find at the grocer, but with two sides, we still brought some ribs home. Grace was our server and provided excellent service. Super personable and attentive and helped us pick our sides. Talk about sides – 15 -20 to choose from!Amberbock draft beer is $3.50, Diet Coke $3.85. We’re going back as we want to...
