We are still here so I may add to this review. Monday was our first night here and we decided to try their soup. It was about 10 p.m. and it was really cold out. We were so glad we got the soups. We had both the chicken vegetable and the corn chowder. Both were very good. However, they weren’t hot enough. There are microwaves in the food court but the soup needs to be hotter to start with.
The chicken soup was really good. Chicken and veggies with a slight Italian taste to them. The corn chowder was excellent as well. Nice and thick and lots of corn. My 19 y/o daughter had never had it but she really liked it. I give both soups a 4.5. Took off .5 stars for the temperature.
The Zesta crackers that came with the soup were stale. I don’t see how packaged crackers can get stale?
2 days later we had the veggie soup again and it was even better! This serving was chock full of veggies and chicken. Lots of flavor. More than our first serving. But again, it was not hot. Crackers were stale.
We found out that for lunch there is only one choice of soups. 2 choices at dinner.
We also shared 6 breadsticks served with a large serving of marinara. The breadsticks weren’t on the menu so it took awhile to find out what they cost. It looks like you can order 1, 2, or 6 breadsticks. Even the cashier didn’t know how to ring them up. 6 breadsticks (considered an entree) were about $6.00.
The breadsticks were disappointing. They had been sitting so they weren’t hot and the ends were rock hard. I went back and got replacements and they were better, but still some of the ends were as hard as rocks. The breadsticks are pretty plain. Would have been better with some garlic and butter on top. I give the breadsticks 1 star.
My mom enjoyed the soup so much for lunch that she wanted it again for dinner. Again the soup was delicious, but not hot enough. Microwave to the rescue! They also had ham and bean soup so it was tough choice for my mom to make!
I decided to have the seared chicken breasts (2) which are served over a large serving of garlic mashed potatoes and haricort vert (green beans), a large Parmesan crisp, and chicken jus. $10.99 I checked the temperature of everything as soon as I received it a nothing was hot. I heated everything up in the micro.
The chicken had good flavor and the pieces are quite large. The beans were excellent. Not over cooked. The mashed were good as well but I didn’t really taste garlic. The crisp was nice and crunchy. I love crunchy cheese! This entree could easily be shared. I have one piece of chicken leftover. I give the chicken 4 stars.
On thing that is very annoying is how cold the food court is! On Monday, the 21st, it was excessively cold and 2 days later, almost as bad. We opted to take our food back to our room where it wasn’t as cold and it didn’t get colder everytime someone opened the doors. It feels Iike the entire resort is not running the heat. Even in our room, it’s cold. The highest setting is 78 degrees but the room doesn’t get warm. Only the A/C seems to be working. Perhaps its the same in the food court.
Where is there no AP discount? Makes no...
Read moreIntermission Food Court is conveniently located at our hotel, Disney All Stars Music resort. It is just a short walk away. Yesterday we ordered our breakfast on their app, walked over there at the time mentioned and there it was ready to go! If you don't wish to use the app, you can go in person and eat there at their restaurant. It is a large area with comfortable chairs and tables to sit and relax. Customer service is excellent. The servers are so nice and helpful. There are long lines but they stay friendly and patient.
We ordered the Egg, Cheese, and Bacon Bagel for breakfast and it was delicious! We also ordered a croissant and a slice of coffee cake to take back to the room where we have a coffee machine.
Intermission Food Court serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. They have favorites like hamburgers, pizza, Mickey's Waffle, breakfasts, etc. We will definitely return tomorrow...
Read moreJust been eating chicken strips because everything else is kinda nasty. Ordered a burger while they were making them fresh. Saw the meat was grey with little bit of red around the edges. Lost my appetite after. Shrimp is hard and chewy. Pizza is dry and expensive for a slice. Meatball sub and pasta was ok. Roasted chicken, mash potatoes, green beans are bland and not very good. Breakfast is slim choices, but the omelet was decent. Got grapes the first day, found mold. They were nice enough to exchange, so I got an orange instead. Drinks are outrageously expensive for no reason. Almost 5$ for water and soda, beer is 10+, small bowl of cereal and milk is 5$. You'll spend minimum of 10 for any plate regardless what it is. Cleanliness of tables and everything was pretty good. Only reason I didn't give it 1 star is because staff is actually...
