Mercury Moon Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Florida

Been coming here for about a year and had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a bar… Angie the GM was behind the bar and decided to ID my girlfriend(who is 25). She has served us before, so I thought it was strange. She then proceeds to tell my girlfriend her ID is fake because it bends… She then proceeded to swear at us and make fun of us to the other bar guests! She said if we wanted to get served we would have to contact clay county PD to come verify the ID. So I called her bluff and had an officer come out, the officer verified it was REAL! Then told Angie that the ID was in fact REAL. Which she responded with “They aren’t allowed back in here or they will be trespassed”. I’ve never seen such a disrespectful and disgusting human being appointed as a “General Manager”. Extremely unprofessional, later found out we are banned for 90 days… Because she was wrong? And we proved her wrong? Even the police officer told her she was wrong? Who also said he deals with her quite often! Sounds like you have a parasite infecting a great bar. Flip was extremely professional and should be appointed as the “GM”. Angie is totally out of line and not professional at all. Would love to get in contact with the owner about this situation. Will not be returning even after I’m “unbanned”. There are plenty of options when it comes to bars, yet we choose to come to Mercury Moon and spend our money here. RUINED OUR NIGHT

Went to Mercury Moon to end up girls night which was a major MISTAKE. I went the previous week and had no issue with entry or being served. Last night I tried to enter and my ID was checked at the door. No problem, I was actually the first to offer up my ID. She green lights everyone else’s is but holds on to mine to double check. She goes to get someone else, an “off-duty cop” who in fact had been drinking, held it up to compare my face to the picture and he said no as well. Understandably, I know I look very much younger than I am and I am blonde in my ID whereas now I wear my natural hair color (brown). However, knowing this I always have a second form of ID, my GOVERNMENT ISSUED MILITARY IDENTIFICATION CARD, when I gave her this she continued to say “I have the right to refuse service”. I offered my debit card, wouldn’t take it. We offered so many other solutions but they absolutely refused very rudely and some woman who looked like she had been doing crack for years held open the door telling us to leave.

I am 23, I don’t even drink, and just wanted to have a coco-cola with my girls and have a fun end to the night but the general manager, ANGIE, her crackhead friend, and her “cop” completely ruined it. Never will you ever catch me in the trashy, cigarette smelling, crack house of a bar again.

The Moon CONTINUES to be AMAZING and it’s a Must Go but I MUST add….. if your wanting a night at home and are going to order in…. Get on your Door Dash App and Order the Moon!!! The attention to detail on their To Go Orders is TOP KNOTCH!!! The containers they use along with the quality of the utensils and napkins….all the way down to the bag it comes in….. our food arrived as hot as it would of been if we sat inside and enjoyed a cocktail!!! And might I add again that the food there is simply the BEST!!! If you haven’t had the lumpia or the funnel cake fries…..OMG Your missing Out!!!!

If you’ve been here in the past and was turned off…. Now is the time to come check out the All New Moon!! It still host some of the best bands in NE Florida and has the best prices in town, but it’s really become a Great Place to go hang out and enjoy yourself! Biggest Improvement is it’s No Smoking! Now they have a great smoking patio, so it still suits everyone but you no longer go home smelling like… y’all get it! Let’s talk food!!! You would expect “Bar Food” but OMG The Moon is WAY Above typical Bar Food!!! Amazing burger and Wings for sure! So many choices, you never have to eat the same thing twice!
