This is an open style seating and they also have outdoor seating. The menu items are decently priced and portions are medium to heavy fill. They don't have any specials but different pricing for lunch and dinner. The service was excellent and they are very helpful. You can flag down any of them and they are willing to help out with whatever you ask. My wife had camarones al mojo de ajo with yellow rice. It was filling and seasoned in garlic which made the flavor of the shrimp stand out pretty good. I had the 4 enchiladas, one beef, one chicken, one cheese and one beans. They are all really tasty except for the chicken. It didn't taste like they cooked it right. Beware of any chicken dish here. The tamales are authentically made and served with meat sauce giving it a Tex Mex presentation. The tacos choices are soft or crunchy, with no option of shredded beef. There is no shredded beef here in any dish. I would suggest improvements in thier chicken preparation and learn to make shredded beef items. The best things here are thier tamales, tacos and enchiladas. This is a good place for a quick lunch with friends.

My wife and I have been a few times here to visit and it is your typical, average Mexican restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. Service, food and atmosphere are all just okay. Prices lean toward the high side. Queso is runnier than most other places. Margaritas - get a large one and share. At $13.99, it's a better deal than a small at $9.99, but for what you get, again, it's a little on the high side. Also worth noting - as of their reopening in May 2020, there is an upcharge on all menu items that contain beef (see note in pictures). This was the only restaurant we've been to that had this added on. The chicken suiza (4 enchiladas with red sauce and queso) is an interesting dinner but for the price, I'd recommend something else more reasonably priced.

Mi Mexico is your classic delicious Mexican restaurant. We've never been disappointed in the food or service when we've come. I always get the create your own - pick 3 where I get 2 soft tacos and a burrito, which comes with rice & beans too. My husband switches it up and on this recent trip with friends 3/6 of them got fajitas! Had to get a photo of how full our table looked of goodness. A few years back we went with a large group for my husbands birthday and it was such a fun vibe and you could tell the servers were having fun with us! If you're out in NSB looking for a Mexican restaurant, you will love this one!

We feel that the quality of food, the portion size and the cleanliness of the restaurant has gone down in the past few years.

When we first started going the place wasn't super popular and it was better, but as the tourists have found it, it's gotten worse.

On our last visit, we were especially disappointed in the guacamole and even the rice and beans.

We had shrimp tacos, soft shell, which were actually pretty good, but the cost for 3 was $12 with tax and there were probably three and a half medium sized shrimp total... It was a serious rip off and I did not enjoy paying my bill.

We probably won't be going back to this restaurant, we used to love it, but now it's just not worth the money.

By the way the smell next to the bathrooms is disgusting and the bathrooms are pretty disgusting... Hot, damp, and not clean. After going to the bathroom I didn't really enjoy going back to sit down and eat, feeling as if I brought a lot of the bathroom with me...ugh.

I've been thinking about this review for a couple of days and I absolutely would not go back to Mi Mexico. I'm sure that some people think it's fine but we have access to really good Mexican food and this isn't it.

Go to Taco Shack instead. You will spend less and get much, much better quality food.

And please note that we've eaten at this restaurant many, many times, over many years and this isn't a review from someone who got mad at some issue at the restaurant and just wants to...

The prices on the menus did not match what was charged on our receipts, and some of us recieved the wrong food. The food that was arbitrarily chosen to be given to us was bland and made without love.

When it was time to pay, we tried to pay using a Visa giftcard (widely accepted at billions of locations worldwide) but the waitress explained that they do not accept gift cards with a look of pure disgust on her face, as if we were asking to pay in chuck e cheese prize tickets. We also noticed they added a mandatory 15% tip automatically, thus bypassing the customer's ability to give a tip which correlates with their level of satisfaction. I suppose this allows them to provide poor service with no repurcussions, which is financially smart yet infuriating.

However, they do provide an opportunity to place a second, additional tip after the fact, which does give the customer a chance to write $0.00.

Finally, after the meal they bring little mints which is nice, but when they accidentally gave my 4 year old son two mints, they immediately asked for it back stating that policy states there can be only one mint per customer. My son was confused but after a short standoff he returned the mint, saving the business another 25...
