First time here today we had such a friendly waitress she was great loved the atmosphere but both mine and my husband's meals were terrible. I had the prime rib French dip which came out shredded and small pieces so it was dry and both sides of the bun were broken so you couldn't dip it like a French dip sandwich. It really did not have any flavor and was very disappointed. That is my favorite sandwich which they don't have many places and usually when it says it's prime rib it's sliced so it doesn't fall apart but this was just shredded into small pieces that you could not hold in your role and dip it and the issue is my favorite part of it. My husband got pasta with marinara and he thought it tasted like canned marinara sauce. We eat a lot of Italian restaurants and neither one of us will ever order what we got today again. I will say their homemade ranch dressing is amazing and I don't like ranch dressing but my husband loves it and it was really good. We will try it again but hope the owners pay attention to this review becauseif you're an Italian restaurant usually you often meat sauce what you didn't and as I said my sandwich was broken on both sides so everything I ate just fell out and it was just kind of gross sorry. The best part of my meal I ordered a a side salad and that was the best part of it as well as a great waitress and good atmosphere. Definitely will give it another shot again but will not order either one...

If you're planning on coming here: MAKE RESERVATIONS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE!

We came here on a Sunday evening for dinner, with no reservations, and we ended up waiting over 90 minutes for an outside table (we had pets with us-pet friendly on the patio), but the inside was pretty packed that night also.

They had live music outside on the patio (which was right on the water, so made for good views, and people-watching, especially on the dance floor) so the atmosphere was raucous (not the place for a quiet, Italian meal on the water) but good energy.

I liked that the bar was separate from the dining experience outside (you can get drinks, without having a table first)-this was a must especially if you have a long wait for a table.

The food: my wife had the Macadamia Nut Crusted Grouper, which she said was just okay. I had the Ravioli Squares appetizer (which are always a good find) and the Blackened Grouper, which I really enjoyed. The spices, flakiness and freshness of the fish really stood out. We both had the crispy potatoes medley as our side, and those were very tasty.

I think, as long as you know what you're getting into going here (with the atmosphere, wait time, and (very) small parking lot), you can have a fun day or...

Vowed not to go here again after three strikes but attended with car club for dinner. Server kept up well with our tables equaling 24, food again is a general disappointment though there were some things that at least got a B+ such as the oysters and prime rib-french dip.

I should know better when ordering the smoked Mahi dip looked and tasted like tuna salad from the can, the bada bing shrimp were some 32-40 count bait sized fried shrimp tossed in an average aioli and plopped on some greens

The prime rib looked paetable a couple folks had no trouble enjoying that. Overall, this place is crazy busy all the time, parking is a problem the outside with live music is cramped and crowded. Happy hour gets you 1/2 price drinks.

After four visits for my taste i never enjoyed a good meal here. The consensus among the group was at best average to below average.

Long live Matlacha post Ian, so we're happy Miceli's is operating full tilt, its good for the island. They will never be starving for business, one of the busiest restaurants I've ever seen, just don't know why. I guess if you temper your expectations and happen to get lucky with what you order you might be satisfied.

I personally would not recommend or bring anyone I...

While visiting relatives in Cape Coral, we did some sightseeing on Pine Key. On the way back, we stopped Miceli’s Restaurant on Matlacha. This is a popular place - after the parking lot fills, people park on the shoulder of the road for several hundred yards. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and backs up onto a canal. You can watch the boats go up and down the canal while other dock so they can enjoy dinner at Miceli’s, too. We were seated and our waitress introduced herself and took our drink order. Her service was prompt, helpful and courteous. We had our round of drinks and enjoyed some appetizers – fried artichoke hearts and fried provolone triangles; they were very good. The menu includes various appetizers, salads, soups, pasta entrees, dinner entrees, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, calzones, strombolis, and more. I ordered the flounder stuffed with shrimp, clams and crabmeat and covered with a creamy Alfredo sauce. The serving included two stuffed flounder filets; it was good and I’d recommend it. We all enjoyed our dinners and were treated to a lovely sunset. If you’re in the Pine Key or Cape Coral areas, I recommend dining at Miceli’s Restaurant. Get there early because it does get crowded.
