Despite living around here for years I didnāt even realize this place existed until it came up on a Google search. Iām glad I stopped in for lunch. This is a little place with big friendly service. Even at 11:30am the place was mostly full with locals who know a good place to grab bbq (there are only about 6 tables). The menu is small but has a selection of sandwiches, wings, sides, and desserts. I had the wings with their gold sauce (honey/based) and they were meaty and delicious. 8 wings was filling; 6 was probably enough. Everyone was very friendly and the lady taking orders was also the waitress. This didnāt slow her down as she was often stopping by to top off my sweet tea or chat with the customers. I will definitely come back. Next time I want to try the pulled pork or Philly sandwiches that many people ordered, although wings seemed like the most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just left a long hike not too far away and were the last guests stopping in to dine right before they closed. We sampled pulled pork on both Texas toast and the brioche, corn fritters, fries, baked beans, macaroni salad and the wings sauced in Gold! EVERYTHING was great! My hunny mentioned the wings were some of the best he ever had, I knew this was true when he went back for not only a second but a third. We will definitely make it a priority to come back. Not only for the food but the hospitality. Hopefully next time we beat the rush and get to try the ribs! Thank you Kathleen (sp?) for your kindness! Sorry, we didn't get to take a photo because we were ready to dive in!!! Don't wait to try this...

And if you like ribs, you won't find better ribs this side of Memphis, and I've eaten at some pretty good rib spots all over the south.
Sides are also outstanding, as is the stellar service; they often have some special sides available; just ask (like roasted sweet corn in season). They are only open for lunch Tuesdays thru Saturdays from 11-2, but who cares? That's lunch time!
By the by-- several pilots have started FLYING into the Brooksville airport and walking the half block to Ron's from American Aviation at lunchtime. Now THAT'S a...
