WHERES THE BEEF!?!? 🤬 If you only order the burgers they are good, sandwices are hit n miss. But the meal plates... less to be desired n left disappointed! Had suggested this place to my friend, that took me out to supper, both ordered the prime rib special $14.99 as a sandwich meal & tea. The bill ttl+tx+tip: $50, my friends PR was over half grizzle n fat! He's the type, that wont send it back to even be refired, if not cooked to his order, complain or call afterwards but will eat the bill, tipped the waitress well n not eat his meal in disappointed digust! He was only here 1 day for family affairs n back on his way home to NY. I called on his behalf n the manager/owner basically said too bad n wouldn't even send him an apology n refund by mail but offered a backhand apology, sry but (that theirs ppl like him n theirs ppl that want to have it that way) Me: so they like paying n eating grizzle? Instead of meat? Her: they cant see the meat in the package when they order it n yes ppl ask for it that way. He should of spoke up while he was there. His problem n fault! Only way she would correct pr comp the meal, was him in person with his card. Again my friend, was down to handle his deceased mothers affairs, as well as other deceased family members request of ash burial, of their final wishes, he is emotionally spent, been dealing with his mothers sudden unexpected death for 2.5yrs, having to commute back n forth to deal with his mother (who he adored n misses tremendously) n his deceased fathers affairs combined, he is an honorable, respectful, humble retired NY cop, with severe PTSD n would NOT ever send a meal back, ask for a replacement meal, credit or complain! Their are ppl like him also...knowing from experience ....they do not want to get a worse meal, worry the meal would be tainted because of complaining, sending it back or it being blamed on the staff for its quality! (Not saying the staff or cook would do such things there) but it does happen! The cut of meat should not of been served but again not the staffs fault because from the sound of it from the manager owner... They are probably told to serve it, pass it off on the customers that will absorb their costs n get the profit of the meal itself, hoping they get a customer like my friend.....that wont speak up! Shameful business practices to pass the grizzle off onto the consumer, instead of taking it up with the meat seller! Especially at a small local diner, charging $15 for a plate special b4 drink, any extras, tax n tip. Guess the filler was the ass load of fries instead...

I wouldn't even give this restaurant a star but that's the only way I am able to write this review... SERIOUSLY. NEVER in my life have I received such abuse from a restaurant owner..😣🙎 My partner and I went to breakfast there, ordered biscuits and gravy country friend steak and 2 sweet teas.. The order came out and my partner tasted the biscuits and gravy and said the biscuit tasted like it was freezer burnt... We had split our orders so I tried mine. I agreed that something wasn't right either... We proceed then to tell the waitress about our order and she tells us that they are in fact frozen biscuits in a bag.. Which confirmed my partners observation of the biscuits.. Doesn't even offer to correct it right away.. I then asked if we could have biscuits from another bag and have them remade? She tried to offer me texas toast instead of the biscuit. I asked if we could have the order replaced by something else she said she wasn't able to do so, so I asked to have it taken off the bill? She then proceeds to say no she wasn't able to take it off the bill "she's only the waitress".. So I asked for the cook/owner. A lady comes out of the kitchen walks over and addresses me with.. What's the problem? 🤷 I proceed to tell her the situation.. She proceeds to get rude arguing that if she replaced every item every time a customer didn't like the meal she'd be out of business.. I tell her that if she did listen to her guests they'd be back more and it's restaurant edict to correct the problem.. After a few back in fourths she snatches the bill off the table and says "forget it, go"... I picked up our belongings and left.. The extremely rude abusive owner and over priced items are one to MANY reasons I say STAY away from this place.... I guess they are going out of business due to our bill... 😆 Last but not least they charged $3 for two eggs!! THE...

I give a star only because the food was edible, and the waitress was nice enough. We came in at 1:45 on a Saturday afternoon. It was still busy( about 2/3 full), I guess because of a biker day in Brooksville or something. Anyhow we sat down, and I set my timer on the clock as I usually do at restaurants being that I do alot of reviews. It literally was a half an hour before we was even acknowledged of being there. It took 1/2 hour after that to get our food. If it was just 2 of us, we would have definitely walked out, but we had a elderly man with us who could barely move, so we suffered through the wait. I said as long as the food was good, then the wait would be fine. However the food was OK at best. The fries were terrible. The burger was just ok. The Reuben sandwich had shredded meat, which was weird. And the chicken wings were tiny. The food all tasted ok, but not even reaching the "good" level. Very disappointed in the service and the food. The atmosphere was decent although in a small crowded area, not too bad. Would I return here again? No, definitely not! Would I recommend this place? Yeah, as long as you can get there in a more convenient time, you will probably have a decent experience I...

For anyone seeking an authentic and delightful dining experience in Citrus County, this Florida Cracker establishment is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you're met with a genuine warmth that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, always on hand to offer a recommendation or share a smile, which truly elevates the entire meal. The menu is where this restaurant shines, masterfully blending Southern comfort classics with an unexpected and brilliant Irish twist. It's a culinary fusion that works perfectly, offering familiar favorites with a unique and exciting flavor profile. Each dish is prepared with a consistency that speaks to a kitchen team dedicated to quality. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty classic or something with a bit of a creative spin, you're guaranteed to be impressed. This place isn't just about great food; it's a true community gem that perfectly captures the spirit of Florida hospitality.

Ordered a burger for me and a Frech Dip for my hubby, both with fries. My burger was undercooked as I requested well-done, but otherwise they met the mark on all points. It was a super juicy burger on a fresh bun and it looked and tasted fresh as can be. The Frech Dip came out meaty and cheesy with the perfect bread for sopping up the delicious homemade Au Jus. The fries were clean, fresh, with a real potato taste and no seasoning or fry salt which I am thankful for. A major plus also included the music. The jukebox played good country - new and old. It felt homey with an array of ages and families. Loved the atmosphere. Overall, a great dinner. We will absolutely return. I'll just be a little firmer with my well-done instructions next time :).

The sign at mile 23 on the Withlacoochee trail invited us to try the place so we rode our bikes back to our starting spot, loaded them on the bike rack and drove back to the Shamrock Inn for an early dinner. It was worth it. The Shamrock burger with cheese was excellent as was my wife's quesadilla as were the fries. It was a delight to find the Shamrock also served Erdinger Dark Weissbier, and the waiter made an informative presentation when pouring the beer from the bottle and maintaining a nice head in the glass. One minor regret is that there wasn't a non-smoking area outside the restaurant where we could eat, fortunately it wasn't busy so we socially distanced from other diners as best as we could indoors.
