Quality and service has dropped in recent months. Owner ..or manager presence is a must when you have teenagers waiting on you. Overpriced for rural redlands area..EDIT New visit on Saturday night, March 12, 2022: ABSOLUTE MESS AND DISASTER. THEY HAVE HIT A NEW LOW. Teenage waiters and no management oversight or accountability continue to be a problem. Absolutely no service etiquette. Food missing. All main courses served before SOUP. When questioned rather that apologizing and FIXING problem..namely..GO GET SOUP..female waitress becomes argumentative giving all sorts of excuse that they were COOKING soup..(brought miso soup for one of us, but supposedly EGG DROP was not brought because it was being "cooked???" Waitress and bus boy/waiter/host? Not sure what role he played, and female waitress would bring sushi rolls to table and NOT KNOW which one it was...ahh..like the customer is going to know? Female waitress had a NASTY streak..very dismissive, and poor service etiquette. She would bring plates of food and just drop them in front of one person at table..in other words..let the customer figure out who the plate belongs to..wrong orders, poor service, smaller and smaller servings, has dropped this once good restaurant to the bottom of the barrel. No more will I spend my hard earned money at a place that provides such a sub par experience ..we go there to enjoy, relay and be served professionally, courteously and efficiently...and it becomes a circus..a sad circus. I ended up speaking to manager, former chef..he was very apologetic..claimed it was covid..hard to find good employees..it was a bad night he said..and to give them another chance... blah blah blah...what I wanted to hear is: We were wrong. Unacceptable behavior and service. I will assure it will not happen again..but as you can see from my pre covid review this place has been heading south for some time..same problem..poorly trained, unmotivated teenage employees in a restaurant that charges high end prices..I would have preferred fewer words and repetitive excuses from manager and a reparation and correction of the ruined dinner night out. Nothing was offered or given and I certainly didn't ask. A Shame to see the writing on the wall for this establishment..heading straight for the trash bin of the many restaurants that showed promise but in the end, cut corners and fell short. Hope they turn it around. The Redlands are fertile grounds for new customers seeking to find that one gem down here. Too bad it wasn't Sushi Sake Redlands. ALSO: NO BOTTLED WATER, NO SPARKLING WATER??Just Redlands well water in a glass? WHAT A MESS. OWNER: Take the reigns back and restore order. ITS A MESS, A...
Read moreSushi Sake has a great menu, that is not up for discussion here. What is up for discussion is the lack of respect to their customers. We mostly order out because of their historically slow service times and we actually work around their lack of sense of service. What brings me here today is the fact that they are purposely delaying tickets and serving orders ad hoc, i called and placed the order i was told 45 minutes, 45 minutes in the Redlands in ALLOT of time, i could see it it was the Gables, Doral, the beach, Winwood, we are talking about Krome and 248 street here. Not to diminish the neighborhood, we love it here, like i said we work around the fact that they are slow. So back to the order, i pull up 45 minutes later, then im told 20 more, then i check in again they tell me 15 more, we are now at 1:45 plus, the whole time i am standing on the sidewalk and talking to people as they leave, the all said they waited more than an HOUR after they were told the food would be ready. meanwhile i have seen people walk in and out with their food. What is the problem you ask. apparently, the sushi chefs do orders in line, as they come in. The only issue is that orders come in for pickup and they are focused on the dining room. When we finally got our 100+$ order the shrimp tempura was cold as so was the vegetables, so was the fired rice, and so where the rolls. Almost colder than the freaking sushi. REALLy? You would think that management would put resources where they are needed so at least the food arrives hot/cold as it is meant to be. Anyways, if you are in the mood for sushi in the area go to stir moon at southland because at least after the 20 minute drive the food will be ready. Not almost 2 hours after you place the order. And no free thai donust will not make it right. Respect your customers. That will...
Read moreThis review is fresher than this places sushi. After waiting over almost an hour and a half for my sushi to arrive to my house 15 minutes away on a slow Sunday afternoon, I opened my bag to see that what I had I had thought I ordered not in the bag. Instead of a spicy tuna roll in the bag there was a spice HAND tuna roll. I called the restaurant immediately and asked if I could exchange it for what was supposed to be in the bag. At first they said yes. Then while I was heading over one of the cashiers called me and told me " to save me the trip that his manager wasn't going to accept my food back" HOW DOES MCDONALDS HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS? This made me wonder if they were treating me like this because it was a delivery because I KNOW that if I was dining in and someones tip was on the line or the possibility of someone walking out then the manager and the cashier would not have been so crass. How do I know this you ask? Well, I have dined at this restaurant avidly for the past 3 years and during that time wrong things have come to my table and never once has anyone told me we won't do anything about. Maybe it was because they didn't have my money yet. Also, when I asked for corporates number the cashier gave me a number that went nowhere and of course managers at this restaurant get 2 HOUR lunch breaks so the manager couldn't get on the phone himself to discuss this problem with me. By the way if the handroll didn't show up to my house so tardy and looking disgusting like a child had assembled it then maybe I would have attempted to eat it. This restaurant chain has lost my business and all of my friends and family business because when we done at a restaurant we expect the restaurant we want the restaurant to have better customer relations than the...
