My husband and Iâs experience at Thai 2 Go was average at best. The time it took from placing the order to being told it would be ready was about ten minutes which is a really good turn around for take out. Along with the fact our food was still hot by the time we were able to sit down and eat about twenty minutes after pick up. Their customer service has been exceptional with trying to make our overall experience better.
However, we were disappointed with the food. My husband ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and he said it was bland with no flavor. He ordered extra spice to add to it, since we accidentally ordered it with no spice at first (our fault entirely). He said it definitely needed the spice added in to have any type of flavor. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and found the noodles/sauce to taste great. But something on the chicken gave it a sharp chemical like taste. Which was disappointing because I wasnât able to enjoy the dish to the fullest. We had ordered a side of fried rice for our kid to eat and I noticed he barely ate it. I wasnât sure if it was because of the day we had or if he didnât like it. When I was packing the left over rice to have the next day, I noticed what seemed to be a bottle seal near the bottom (pictures attached). Similar to those found on new bottles of sauces, etc. It was scary to find that since my kid could have eaten it if he had an appetite that night.
My husband and I also experienced some stomach issues the following day. General GI upset and discomfort.
Overall we were disappointed with our experience. Especially since the hundreds of raving reviews for this establishments food.
Edit: We fully appreciate the response from the restaurant about the experience we had. Along with the refund which we were not expecting at all. While I wasnât able to check the container to see if the piece I found came from it, Iâd like to believe thatâs what happened. Accidents can happen in any part of the process. If we are ever back in that area, we might consider giving them another chance and hope it will reflect the...
