Iâve been a fan of Cuban sandwiches ever since my 1st trip in Florida. But this has to be one of the best Cuban sandwiches iâve ever had it tops all the places iâve been to. Right as we walked in, the man working the register already greeted us welcoming us inside. We told him it was our first time ever coming to Pepper Crack and he told us that all the food that is made is all made fresh. I got the Jâs Special where you can pick any sandwich and theyâll cut it in half since the actual sandwiches are huge and any side that you wanted. So after he took our order and we went to sit outside by this pond, about 5 minutes go by and he comes outside to give us utensils and turtle food since the pond was full of mud turtles. Another 5 minutes go by and he comes back out with our food but the steak fries werenât ready yet which we were fine with it we had plenty of time to kill. He comes back out in 2 minutes with our fries and he also brings us these peanut butter chocolate chip cookies because he felt sorry that our fries werenât out with our sandwiches. The sandwich was perfect it had the right amount of crispiness in the bread, perfect meat to vegetable ratio and it was perfect. The fries were really good too, had the perfect amount of cajun seasoning and salt. Overall, Cracked Pepper Cafe was amazing, the food was amazing, the customer service and the atmosphere was amazing. Highly and I mean HIGHLY recommend coming to eat there with...
Read moreWe stopped by after my husband's Moffitt cancer center appointment Thursday with our younger son and all of us just loved it. Super friendly, wonderful selection, cute little lake view outside, definitely a hidden gem and we'll definitely go back when we are able. My husband got the buffalo wrap, my son got the I'm starving breakfast which made him happy and looked delicious, eggs cooked perfectly, big pancakes etc. I had the Nola Po boy and he gave me a different sauce to try which was excellent. We also had chili cheese fries since the special was a chili dog that day and I overheard someone talking about it but we were so full we brought that home but it was yummy too. The rocks are not from there but Moffitt but part of our day too. We are going through a difficult time with my husband battling brain cancer but special times together and him still alive are times we cherish VERY much so we are grateful for our lovely...
Read moreI asked for a breakfast burritoâthey said they didnât have them. I said okay, so then I just said Iâll take a Cuban with eggs on it. The lady said, âSure, so you want the El Cubano?â and I said, âYeah, that sounds good.â I pick up my foodâno eggs. I call her back asking about the eggs, and she tells me the El Cubano doesnât have eggs. What was the point⊠of even speaking words if sheâs not going to listen.
Anyway, the Cracked Pepper Cafe makes awesome food and the staff members seem cool. Just a really, really annoying experience, but I canât blame the girlâI had a first job once too. Definitely not the best hangover cure⊠but again, the food is killer, and the staff members are awesome. Their Cuban is fantastic, but I really wish they would make some breakfast burritos though.
They already have all the ingredients: chorizo, bacon, wraps, eggs, salsaâI mean it just seems like a natural step in the...
