Had a full fried snapper with plantains and fish dip. It was great!!!! Definitely coming back.
It was my sons first time trying fish and he loved it. He's been asking to go back.
We did pick up, service was good. Everyone was friendly.

Martha G. Miami, FL 715012 9/11/2022 Glad we waited 15 minutes to be seated. As soon as you're seated you get a fish dip and crackers to start. We had coconut shrimp as appetizer. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. The dishes are big enough if you like sharing. My daughter and I had snapper on lemon caper sauce, we were blown away. Hubby had the rigatoni chef's special now that was delicious. We are most definitely coming back. Great ambiance and there is live jazz music band playing. Overall excellent place.
John L.Elite 2022 Brickell, Miami, FL 14133110 7/2/2022 Great seafood. The back has live music (mostly Jazz) on Friday nights and the weekend.
Portions are generous. Food is hot and steaming. They also have an ice case with fresh seafood on display that you can buy stuff if you want to cook the seafood at home yourself.
In addition to the standard seafood house type dishes (fried snapper, grilled oysters, lobster bisque, etc..), they also serve sushi rolls and poke.
Really surprising to find a seafood place like this on Miller Road between Kendall and South Miami. I will definitely be back.
Sharlee M.Elite 2022 Miami, FL 104986 6/11/2022 2 photos I can't say that I've been blown away by anything on the menu, but I also can't say that I've had anything bad either.
The Fish House is a decent casual seafood restaurant. I love that I can go here for drinks and oysters with friends but not feel like I have to get all dolled up.
The main reason I frequent this restaurant is for the happy hour oysters. I'm a little late writing this review, so I'm not sure of the price now, but the happy hour price for oysters was only $.50. My friend and I would literally eat two dozen each. The oysters are very fresh and about medium size.
I never make reservations for this restaurant, I am usually able to walk in and get seated within minutes.

Shana M.Elite 2022 Miami, FL 83027 8/20/2022 1 photo This is my favorite seafood restaurant in Miami, really authentic mom and pop vibes. The staff is always amazingly friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu. They have a back room where they have live music multiple times a week. I've been for the jazz night and it is so fun! An absolute recommend!! I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't like, but some of my favorites are: crab cakes, grilled shrimp, seafood rice, beer shrimp (appetizer), ok .... Everything!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreDescribe my experience? Where do I begin. Since I moved to Florida 3 months ago, I had heard great things about this place from a few people. Understandably, I was eager to try it. So, 2 weeks ago I decided to go for lunch on a Thursday (and a good thing I did since I foundout it is open only 3 days a week). It was raining, and when I got there I found that the parking lot was dirt - which was now mud, and the place was packed. I opted for the Dog House BBQ shack down the road - nothing to write home about, but ok and reasonably priced. Anyways, today I tried the Fish house at lunch again - once again a Thursday. It was not raining this time, so the parking lot did not look as bad, but once again covered. I left again. So this evening, I thought, maybe if I try later in the day, maybe I can see what all the fuss is about. I live in Tampa, (work in Ruskin), so it was a half hour drive to do this. When I got there, the lot was not packed to capacity, but there was still only muddy spots left to park in. Apparently it takes quite a while for this place to dry out if it ever does. Nevertheless I was bound and determined to try it. I had heard you got a lot if you ordered the large and that it was just amazing. Never get your hopes too high - lesson learned. I ordered the large bay scallops/clam strips with a sweet tea. Ran me over $17 dollars at a place that had only outside seating, but hey, this place is going to be really good right? I waited about 25 minutes for my order - outside and in the cold. Yeah it was 60 degrees, but I was cold. I was already livid that it took this long and doubted I would never return, but, I took solace in the fact that this was going to be worth the wait this one time. It was not. For my sides, I selected double fries since I don't care for cole slaw or any of the other sides they had to offer. I think that was a mistake. What I got was a basket full of fries, with a handful of scallops and clam strips sprinkled over the top. I thought to myself, you have got to be kidding - I just paid $14.75 for a basket of fries. Of what I got, the scallops were good, the clam strips were ok (better than the Dog House a bit), and the fries tasted above average - at least they don't serve crinkle cut fries which I despise. If you like extremely spicy (and I actually like spicy) cocktail sauce you'll love theirs. A bit much for me. Tartar sauce was good. Overall however, my experience sucked - and I personally would not recommend it to anyone. That said, I am not everyone. If it's not the middle of February, you have plenty of money to spend on dinner, you have plenty of time, parking or lack thereof and mud don't bother you, and you don't care that much about quantity - have at it - you'll likely be pleased with your experience. But this is a review based on MY experience, and it was not good. Try it yourself; I pray your experience is better than mine. The GOOD: Quality of food (4 of 5 stars) The BAD: Wait Time 1 star Price 2 stars Eating Environment 1 star Parking (can I give less than 1...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis quaint little spot came at the recommendation of a recent acquaintance while a viewing a property in Ruskin. It is everything you would expect from an establishment situated in a remote rural area. It is essentially a shack with picnic tables underneath an awning, surrounded by several patio style tables equipped with umbrellas that provides adequate shading from the blistering Florida sun. The average temperature this time of year is typically a humid 90 so, if you require climate controlled accommodations I suggest take-out. While the place may not look like much they serve up fresh catch of the day at fair market prices. I pulled into the dusty makeshift on premise parking lot hoping to tantalize my taste buds with the best that Tampa Bay has to offer. The menu was disappointingly devoid of items that I have come to expect from fish joints by comparison to others that I've frequented. I settled on a grouper dinner which consisted of fried grouper nuggets with two sides cheesy grits and baked beans. No one can come close to Boston baked beans so while I laud them for their effort I don't hold it against them. I loved the cheesy grits, theirs was a close second to the best I've ever had. The grouper nuggets were a golden brown although some much needed seasoning would have added more flavor, they were fresh nevertheless. Despite the outward appearance of "The Fish house" the staff members were warm and courteous which goes a long way in terms of customer service. The experience overall was a pleasant one, my only complaint is that the portion amount was disproportionate to the price, I expected a bit more pieces of fish for $10 once again compared to other establishments that I've visited. If you ever in Ruskin be sure to stop by and patronize "The...
