I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at V's Pizza, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by AJ, who immediately made us feel right at home. Her kindness and empathy were truly remarkable and set the tone for the evening.
We had come to V's Pizza with a simple plan in mind: pick up a couple of delicious pasta bowls for our kids and grab some pizza dough to enjoy a homemade pizza night. While waiting for our order, we decided to indulge in their delightful cocktail selection. It was a wonderful way to unwind and set the mood for an enjoyable evening.
Unfortunately, there was a slight delay with our order, and after patiently waiting for 45 minutes, I inquired about the delay. To my surprise, AJ approached me with genuine concern, offering her sincere apologies for the mishap. She explained that our order had accidentally gotten lost in the kitchen due to a backup. However, her charming and disarming nature immediately diffused any frustration I might have felt. Her efforts to make amends were truly impressive. She even went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary drink or dessert as a token of their apology, although we politely declined. AJ's genuine care and conversation put us at ease, and any lingering annoyance quickly dissipated.
V's Pizza and their side restaurant, Julep, have consistently provided us with exceptional service, mouthwatering food, and a delightful ambiance. Our family absolutely adores their house wings, and the Mack Attack pizza has become our go-to favorite. The delightful spiral macaroni adds a unique and enjoyable texture to the pizza. We can't help but fall in love with every bite.
What truly sets V's Pizza apart is their unwavering commitment to using authentic ingredients sourced directly from Italy. This dedication to quality and attention to detail are evident in every dish they serve. Furthermore, their use of imported Italian ovens adds an extra touch of authenticity that enhances the overall experience.
Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend V's Pizza to anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience. If I had the opportunity, I would visit this extraordinary establishment on a weekly basis just to savor all the tantalizing specials they offer. The exceptional service, delectable food, and genuine Italian ambiance make V's Pizza an absolute gem that you won't...
Read moreNormally I am a five star V Pizza fan. I have told many people this is my favorite pizza in all of Ponte Vedra. A few days ago when going in around 8:50 I was told it was self service for the night as they were understaffed, no server staff. That’s fine, I get it, times are hard and places are understaffed because of the pandemic. I get to the counter to order and I was told only cheese and pepperoni pizza. I am gluten free and have dietary restrictions and was in at reasonable time before close. Tables seated had a full buffet in front of them already basically. Clearly behind the kitchen the ovens are running and there’s plenty of staff. They refused to make me a gluten free. Party I am with orders a pepperoni pizza and it comes out doughy, almost like it was reheated. Never had that problem before with V’s. I usually don’t complain about service cause I don’t fully know their situation, but it’s worth mentioning while I’m at counter politely asking for any chance they can do gluten free one more time the staff is yelling over me asking if they can go home yet. Worth mentioning the young guy who took over for the girl yelling was really cool to me and it clearly wasn’t his decision. Usually a huge V Pizza fan but this is not the place I know and love, I have had the staff in Jax Beach location bring me into the kitchen for pizza cooking lesson before. This is not up to the V Pizza standard! Only plus I will say is the bar staff had...
Read moreUpdated review- wow the service has plummeted this year. Food is either so soft I don’t even know if it was fully cooked. Definitely some health code violation. Other times it’s so burnt that the pizza comes out looking like a big piece of charcoal. Where has all of the good employees gone? There used to be great servers and hosts but looks like all of them quit. Management seems like they don’t care. Seems like everything has gone downhill since new management took over. Got even worse this February and only downhill from there. The service is no longer friendly and the food tastes like it should be $5 for a large pizza. Yuck
Original review-
Great servers but horrible food. Used to be great over a year ago but new management has run this place into the ground. Best bartender I’ve met is a guy named Grey who works here though. Good luck getting a table past 4 here without waiting at least an hour. Kids run rampant here creating havoc. Parents send their kids outside to play so if you eat outside then have fun being in the middle of a playground
Response to owner: I overhear the nasty stuff managers say to the employees. They aren’t quiet. Plus the way the pizza is made is different. I doubt the employees changed things and not management. It tastes cheap and when you pay $20 for a pizza you want it to not taste cheap. Wait a long time to get seated then wait a long time to get food that doesn’t even...
