Ford River Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Ford River Township

We stopped here today. Salad bar is awesome! Plenty to choose from. We ordered onion rings, salad bar for both of us, and a blt. Blt served mayo on the side and the toast was a bit too toasted. Onion rings were great. They also have very tasty ice cream by the scoop for dessert or on the go. The waitress was so friendly and kind. Lots of rooms here and an outdoor patio, bar, pool table, tv had sports on, and there is also an ATM. Bathrooms were very clean. Menu is big. They have fish fry always on the menu so we will try that next time. Prices are very reasonable. I am including pictures of the place. I recommend going here when you visit the U.P. Escanaba area. Update: July 2025 We returned with a large group for another visit. Four had the prime rib and each of them loved theirs. One had quesadilla and loved it. I had the perch. It's good. Very large portion. Each of the meals comes with a full salad bar. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Again, we will return. I have added some more photos. I had the most heartwarming experience with the amazing folks at Ford River Pub and Grill while on my way to Mackinac Island. I accidentally left my bag at the pub, and it had all my cash, IDs, and cards. We were almost at the island when I realized it was missing. We immediately called the pub, and to our relief, they had it!

Turns out, someone in the parking lot had found the bag and handed it over to the staff. A wonderful waitress named Ana found my ID and even tried to reach out to me through Facebook. The owner, Matt, was incredibly kind and humble when we called to ask about the bag. Since we couldn't come back the same day, we asked if we could pick it up the next day—and they kept it safe for us without hesitation.

We just got our bag back, and everything is completely intact. I cannot thank Ana, Matt, and the entire team enough. These are truly good-hearted people, and I’m beyond grateful. Highly, highly recommend this place- not only for their hospitality but for the genuine kindness they showed us....

I usually am more than happy with my meal and service here but was a little disappointed this time. We asked what came with the smelt dinner and was told choice of potatoes. We placed our order, got our food and realized that we had read coleslaw was supposed to come with our meal and caught another waitress who brought it saying we were the first customers for our waitress so all was forgiven. As we were leaving my husband mentioned this to our original waitress and she said oh no we were the first customers of her day and she had been there a year. As we were walking out of the door the sign on the door said the meal also included a roll which we didn't receive at all. This may seem like a small thing but I would think we should not have had to ask for things that should have come with our meal in the first place. We will be coming in again because we've always been happy with everything before but perhaps this will be a good teaching opportunity for the servers. I did not get the name...
