Simpler Times — Restaurant in Forest City

Firstly, unrelated to the business. I love how close I live, I can walk here in two minutes.

Second, more related, adore this place. From just grabbing some alcohol to sitting down to a proper good meal, this place has you covered. Seems like every week they have a new special, and I've taken to coming here every week lately to try it out. I really have no idea how I've been sleeping on this place and so rarely visited before recently.

And that's not even to mention how damn friendly all the workers are here. Words can hardly describe how cozy this place feels to just walk in, sit down, and relax. My only negative would be when the place is packed since I'm more uncomfortable in loud, rambunctious settings, but that's certainly not a negative to this place, just a personal thing I get around by going when it's not so busy. If anything, it shows how much others like this place to crowd...

Stopped in for a small bite on a ride to Susquehanna. Great little place! There are Q&A card games on the small bar, great bartender, and a very clean, pleasant atmosphere! The cook was informative and involved with ordering. We ordered a cheese steak hoagie, it was very good. I found it to be salty but the spouse loves it that way. The right side of the building is a mini distributor, offering 6-15 packs of take out adult beverages. Both of the bathrooms were so beautifully decorated and entertaining! I mentioned it to the spouse and he agreed! We were fortunate enough to be there when the owner's parents were there and had a great conversation with them. Wonderful people! A hidden gem for sure! The Husband/Wife team here are absolutely amazing and serve up some delicious food and drinks at an extremely reasonable price. Such a cool atmosphere, especially in the summer when you can play corn hole out back and just chill. They really create some amazing dishes. My only wish is that the Brisket and Mac n Cheese was a permanent menu item but I know that is a pretty heavy lift to make happen every day… it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my...
