Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Forest

Did take out. The only good item was the braised wings. Also the huge amount of food for the price is more than adequate. Those two points are why I gave even 2 stars because the rest of the meal was not good. As stated, the chicken wings were awesome. My husband asked if they had egg rolls rather than spring rolls. He was told no, but as he was waiting for the food, a sign flashed New, Egg Rolls. I guess either the sign is wrong or the girl was not aware(hence the 3 star rating for service).

The General Tso's chicken was bland, had an odd taste that lingered until the next morning and barely had heat. In fact, only 2 items on the menu are designated as spicy hot.

If you love dry Lo Mein in absolutely no sauce, this is your place. The only vegetables in this dish were raw square slices of onion, broccoli, carrots and squash and there was far more brocoli than any other veggie. Dish was obviously not cooked in the typical and frankly needed soy, sesame oil, sugar and ginger based sauce. In fact, it had no sauce at all and was completely dry. I've never had a completely dry lo mein dish and trying to eat what was mostly broccoli and raw onion slices on top of dry lo mein noodles made it inedible. A few bites and it was in the garbage.

I cannot recommend this restaurant unless you are going only for the wings which were delicious. I had read in another review the cooks were Asian and therefore had much higher expectations for the taste and quality of the food. Awarding 2 stars is...

Tables were not cleaned off and floor was filthy. No other customers in there and the waitress didn't great us and acted annoyed when we asked to have a table cleaned off so we could have lunch. She was too busy on her phone. Sushi is disgusting! California roll was 80% cucumber and the spicy crawfish roll was mostly imitation crab meat and bread crumbs and half cucumber. Worst I've EVER had. My son had sesame chicken and it was a lot of food and looked good. Stay away from the sushi! Terrible...

When this place first opened it was good. This place is literally still the same since it first opened but the food isn’t! That’s not a compliment! This is a very low quality knock off version of Japanese food. What makes it so bad is that they are authentic Asian people and still can’t cook their own food right? The owner’s wife always seems to have an attitude. The children are nice but the food is trash. You could literally make the food at home!...
