Farmers Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Forreston Township

Had a bad experience with this place tonight. First my wife ordered one thing, and they brought her something else, just said sorry, I misunderstood you. Did nothing to make it right. Soup came, and the veggies in it were raw, and crunchy. I ordered beef tips and noodles. Most bland food I ever tasted, actually I guess I didn't taste it, that's how bland it was. Then got dessert and the rice pudding was as runny as water. The only thing half desent about the meal was my chili, and the only reason for receiving 2 stars. Otherwise 1 star all the way. Ugh! Very disappointed. And we used to love this little restaurant when we lived...

1st, the booth we choose was full of ants, and it's winter!! What? The waitress was tolerant of us and food was good but I feel we were treated different because we're Hispanic. The meals were supposed to come with roll and butter, didn't. And every other patron finishing their meal was offered their ice cream. We weren't and it came with the meal. I loved coming to this restaurant when we lived in Rochelle. Now that we're in pearl city, we don't come thru this area very often and was so looking forward to eating here. Following no distinct route home and decided to get off the hwy. Deciding it was lunch time, Google showed us this little café. It is home to the locals for the 3:00 coffee. Maria, our server and daughter to the owners was delightful. Her father prepared a very generous lunch. My meatloaf special came with mashed potatos and brown gravy and green beans. Salad or soup and ice Cream for dessert. $10.25...
