They were very busy and running out of popular food items, but the young woman working was super polite and professional and worked quickly! We took our food to go, and it was delicious! We got sausage and brisket. Tender and delicious brisket and savory smoked sausage with grilled onions. I loved the classic potato salad...nothing weird in it, just great potato salad LOL The roasted corn was amazing...Elotè or buttered, I got elotè...spicy and so good. The bread was slices of crusty bread with a very tender crumb. So delicious! Plates come with slaw, spicy, got to be house made, BBQ sauce, mustard (no ordinary mustard), and green salsa. The front room, where you order/wait, has cozy chairs, so you can relax while you're waiting for your turn to order. There are 3 picnic tables outside that are covered, so you can eat out there too. The dining room lighting gives it an intimate vibe. We took our food home, but we'll be back to get the whole experience!

My wife and I are visiting Ft Davis and the surrounding area for a week. We decided to give this place a try. We walked in and it definitely has a different atmosphere, almost feels like it was a former night club of sorts. We both thought it looked unique and we were promptly greeted by the hostess with a smile and told us about some of their menu items. Awesome! My wife had the sausage and their cucumber, tomato, and onion salad. She said it was delicious! Naturally I had to try some and I agreed! I had the brisket and potato salad which was just as excellent. I met the cook, Jason (great name by the way!) and paid him compliments on his stellar bbq! We chatted about this and that and we went on our way. If you are in town, definitely try this place! We may go back again before we make our trip home! Jason, if you see this, don’t forget that garbage pail kid, Jason Basin! Cheers guys and thanks again for an awesome experience!

I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but... So, the atmosphere was great, but small. The size probably works for the size of town, but I could see it get packed during peak tourism periods. The service was great with a true family feel. It felt like home or at least visiting that cool aunt. I say aunt, because I think the owner is a lady that is there daily. Now as to the food, I'm on the fence. So, the brisket was fork cutting tender, but I did not seem to get a lot of smoke flavor off it. The BBQ sauce is not my preference, but it was the owner's recipe, and I do recommend it. They had several local sides too that you will see in the photos. The pintos were bland for me. If they had dropped some of the sausage in it, the beans would have rocked. I liked the sausage, potatoes and the fresh bread. Oh, get the cookies. They were awesome! Yes, I did take a picture in the bathroom. What? The sign was funny...

Outstanding! RNR is an awesome smoke house with a talented and very friendly staff. We had two dishes, Rib meat tacos and a pound of brisket on the side.

The Rib taco plate was the special of the day when we were there. The plates were artistically prepared. The tacos were a unique idea for smoked Rib meat. The meat was tender and juicy topped with Pico and a sprinkle of cheese, all nested in a fresh crispy corn taco shell. The combination was amazing.

We also ordered a pound of brisket. What we received was a generous portion of the most tender, cut it with a fork, smoked brisket nestled in its own Au jus with just enough smoke taste to let you know the Chef has been doing this for a long time. Just incase you prefer a more southern taste, it was accompanied by a zesty BBQ sauce that layered sweet and spicy flavors that everyone will enjoy.

The owners also work the restaurant and you can tell it's a labor of love. There is attention to detail in everything, I was impressed they even painted about four inches of the AC cord to match the color scheme. The entrance is very inviting have the feel of an old style sitting room in a Southern Mansion, just a bit smaller though. If you decide to stay and dine in, you'll pass through the second doorway, into the dinning area. Again, not your usual metal chairs and wood tables, but soft cushion seats and nice tables with decorative coverings that matched the color scheme. Overall, an...

Very good BBQ restaurant. I had a 2 meat + 2 sides plate with Brisket, Smoked Sausage, Ranchero Beans and Elote-Style Corn. The meats definitely represented the best of Texas BBQ; brisket was fork-tender, while the sausage had a delightfully, slightly crispy skin. The sides were equally memorable. The meal was served with some bread, stone-ground mustard (for the sausage), slaw, BBQ sauce, and some fresh green salsa (which had a little kick but would still be accessible to just about any level of spice tolerance). The ambience of the restaurant itself evokes that of an old Austin (before the city became “discovered” and commercialized) with an eclectic variety of music ranging from Classic Rock to Country to some Contemporary Indie being played and some cool memorabilia adding to the atmosphere as well. A cozy but hip place to grab some delicious BBQ, and a worthwhile place to stop if you’re in Fort Davis or anywhere in the...
