Frey’s Mexican Food — Restaurant in Fort Mohave

Bad experience here. We stopped by after seeing the Google reviews, but the opinions shared don’t reflect what we actually experienced.

You pick something from the menu, and then at the counter they ask about your topping preferences, which nearly doubles the price of your original choice.

When the burrito is served, there are only three ingredients: green peppers, onions, and chicken. You end up with a ton of barely seasoned chicken and no sauce. Where’s the balance??? Eating a kilo of chicken, what’s the point? Replacing part of the chicken with rice or black beans would probably cost you less and give the customer a much more interesting meal…

And all that for $17 with a small drink....

Been here many times, and we always leave full! Friendly staff, always willing to answer questions about menu items. Lots of parking and always clean dining room, even the restrooms are decent. We have tried so many items from the menu, and everything has always been great! The super quesadilla is huge, better be hungry! Today I tried the carne asada plate. I was expecting a big piece of meat that I would cut up, instead it came diced like what would go inside the tacos. It didn’t lack flavor, and was very decent in size. I ordered the chile relleno today I was at the counter seen them flopping on the grill they weren't made fresh they just reheated them from the refrigerator I guess? They were okay but at the same time it tasted like refrigerated reheated leftover meal. I love guacamole I bought the pint for 10 bucks it had so much lemon or lime juice in it to keep it from turning brown I guess definitely not freshly made either came out of the refrigerator pre-made I guess.
