Noticed that in this town of Arkansas there are quite a few small businesses. This place was a hidden gem. You’re lucky to get a table in there because it’s tiny. They have a variety on their menu! Back in Texas I’ve always wanted to try Papaya Salad luckily I got to try it here for the first time.
My plate consisted of papaya salad, wings, and sticky rice. Wings cooked to perfection, great crunch simple no sauce mixed in. I dipped the wings in a chili not spicy whatsoever. The papaya salad you had the option to choose the Lao or Thai style: I went with the Lao style which had shrimp paste a little more pungent. Loved it, it was refreshing and spicy to my likings. I was able to choose how many peppers to add. Two peppers were enough for me, not crazy spicy just enough for me. Definitely worth for what you pay for because there portions were HUGE.
Volcano chicken was great, not too spicy and had a sauce with different chilies. The Pad Kee Mao had so much flavor to it. I ordered a combination which had chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp. Loved the thick noodles, bunch of veggies to which is a great balance. Topped it off with some sriracha for some extra kick. Overall, I could tell this place made the food with love. Our waitress was super nice and helpful! In the future once I’m back in this area I’d love to try more...
Read moreAn adorable little restaurant! The colorful walls and the cute little dining area is definitely unique in the area. The restaurant is a fresh of breath air around the delapidated area around Midland.
I had the lunch special (L1) that included an egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice with an egg roll. The egg drop soup tasted homemade and was seasoned well but the chips tasted a little greasy and old like it might have been cooked with old oil. The friend rice was phenomenal. It's definitely a little different from other fried rices I've had in the area but in a good way. The egg roll was crunchy and flavorful.
Tom Yum. The soup has complex flavors of galangal, lime leaves, lemongrass with a touch of sweetness. If you have tried the mama soups. This surpasses it by a ton.
Yum Seen. It's a refreshing cold beef salad that is best eaten on hot days. The galangal, and lime leaves, lime juice and lemongrass pair so well making you want some more.
KHao Piek. A very good soup that has a gravy like consistency that is hard to beat when you ain't feeling.
The staff were incredibly kind and polite.
Fyi. It's a small place with only 2-3...
Read moreHave never spent 20$ on just some egg drop soup and wonton soup. Careful when ordering through door dash the price on the large soup is misleading it looks like it’ll be 4.50 turns out to be that a large soup is 10$ and it’s not even that big. To top it off both were So salty I couldn’t even drink it. The wontons are not real wontons and were all broken up and soup was greasy. Worst wonton soup and egg drop soup. Called to see if it was a glitch she referred me to door dash as if she couldn’t do anything about the pricing and return my money back. The soup was literally all salt and water so why $10. So disappointed. The wings I ordered were so burned and dry. Chili oil was old and dry and no flavor. I can’t believe I spent almost $60 and felt like my money was wasted. Spring rolls were nasty, the peanut sauce was watery and disgusting. Needless to say, it was a huge mistake ordering from this place....
