If you're looking for a nice place with good service, and helpful staff, this is NOT the place to go. But if you're looking to sit at your table for 20 minutes with no menus and no drinks, and want to have to hunt down a server, eat here!! My family and I came to eat dinner together. We sat down on the patio and were not even acknowledging. We then waved down a server to get menus and drinks. When we finally got our drinks (after being at the restaurant for 20-30 minutes) Heather our waitress had forgotten my water. Instead of going to get my drink, she went over and began talking to other tables, went and talked to people at the bar, then disappeared completely. I waited another 10 minutes before she came out with my water and claimed they had "run out of ice" and she had to "go find some". We then put our order in and sat at our table for another hour without Heather checking on us once and no sign of our food. My dad finally went inside to let them know that if our food wasn't about to come out that we were leaving. He was told that it would be out soon and the kitchen was just so so backed up! (There was literally no one in the dining room at this point and only 5 tables on the patio) Immediately after my dad sat back down one of the cooks brought our food out to us, and yet again our waitress did not check on us. The only time we saw her is when we looked through the window and she was talking at the bar. We then overheard a manager talking to the table next to us that was complaining about the same waitress. The managers resolution to their issues was for them to request NOT to have Heather next time. What. A. Joke. When I tell you Heather did not check on us at all, I mean AT ALL. We had to wave her down to ask for some napkins and her response was to throw a few wrapped sets of silverware on the table. At the end of our meal we went and asked another server for our check. Heather came out with the check and began trying to make excuses as to why her service was so bad. "I'm used to taking big parties" and "the kitchen was backed up" along with a few other things that made zero sense. My dad stopped her and told her he did not need to hear her excuses and she had not done her job all night, he told her he needed the check and that was it. Heather went to get our change and we could see her through the rather large windows throwing her hands in the air, shaking her head and pointing at our table.
Now if this sounds like your cup of tea, by all means come eat here!!!! But if you prefer to have a nice meal with nice staff that you don't have to hunt down, go...
Read moreWent there on a Tuesday evening. I had never been there before and thought their menu from their website didn't look too bad plus I wanted to sit at a view as they described on their site. To get there isn't bad. It is across the street from Lockheed Martin. We noticed it was not very busy. We walked in not knowing if there should have been a hostess at the door to sit us or if we just sat where we wanted. There was no one at the front for a few minutes nor any signs regarding to wait for a hostess or to sit where you want. After a few minutes of waiting at the front, someone walked up from the back and informed us we can sit where we want. We decided to sit on a patio they have in the back with what I was hoping would be a great view of Lake Worth. After sitting, and waiting for a few more minutes, someone came and got our drink order. We just ordered water. During the 5 to 10 minutes of waiting for our drinks, we realized the view vantage of the lake from the restaurant. Sure, there is a Lake back there behind all the trees. It wasn't like a beach resort. But I wasn't expecting much and it wasn't the worst view either. It didn't stink or had NO view or flies infested (at least at the time we were there). The view just wasn't what I would want from a restaurant on the edge of a lake. After the waitress finally brought our drinks, she took our order. I ordered 10 wings and she ordered a cheese burger with fries. The food didn't take long to come out. Nor was the food all that great. I wasn't expecting much and that is exactly what we got. The burger was flavorless and bland. The fries were good. And the wings were a joke. Not a bad price (qty 20 wings for $14) but even at that price, I would never order their wings, and judging the burger, I probably wouldn't order anything there ever again. The waitress left us dry and by the time she came to ask if we needed anything, We were ready to get the hell out of there.
I didn't care about the bad view of the lake or the non attentive waitress. The straw that broke the camels back was the food. Had the food been great, I would be typing a bit of a different story. I am not going back. I can not say I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I think it is a place for folks to go there and drink. Maybe drunk your view of the lake would be better. Other than a atmosphere it gave for being a decent drinking place, I would not recommend this place for anyone expecting a view...
Read moreTo Whom It May Concern,
On the afternoon of July 8, 2025, I was removed from The Point on Lake Worth, Texas—not for being disruptive, intoxicated, or out of control—but for simply having a quiet, honest conversation with a person who invited me over to sit with him and chat.
I was speaking about something I care deeply about: the way MEDIA disproportionately covers missing persons cases—particularly when white women are involved, while women of color are often overlooked. It wasn’t a speech, a protest, or an outburst. It was a private conversation between two people.
What followed was an act of erasure.
A group of older white men, none of whom I was speaking to, took offense to what they overheard and—without ever speaking to me—reported me to management. I was removed from the establishment without anyone asking for my side. No staff member checked in with me. No one ensured I was okay. I was presumed guilty simply because a group of men in positions of societal power decided they were uncomfortable.
I did not yell. I did not argue. I stood up, approached one of the men who was offended, and offered him an apology—not because I believed I had done something wrong, but because I was raised to lead with grace. He refused it. I closed out my tab, told the bartender I would not return, and I walked out with dignity. The tears came later—in my car, alone, when the door had closed behind me.
This experience was not just humiliating. It was a stark reminder of how easily a woman’s presence, voice, and perspective can be treated as a threat—especially when she is a woman of color, and especially when the men offended hold perceived power, influence, or status.
I am sharing this not to seek revenge, but to offer truth. Because my voice matters—even when it’s uncomfortable to hear.
If your establishment claims to be welcoming, inclusive, and professional, I urge you to reflect on what happened. Not just for me—but for every woman who’s ever been silenced, dismissed, or removed for simply expressing a truth the room wasn’t ready for.
We don’t want your pity. We want your accountability.
Sincerely, A Concerned Citizen (In order to protect my privacy and safety, I am choosing to remain anonymous. I now understand that in today’s climate, simply having an opinion can make...
