We went to the seafood boil and never been here before. We have been trying to find a local place for boils. The service was good and the boil was organized. However the food was lacking. There is no seasoning on the boil and they use regular baked potatoes. No sausage or shrimp is included in the boil. You get a whole ear of corn but it was wrinkle and Luke warm. No soft or hard butter for it , we poured liquid butter on it. You can order shrimp though. The food n butter was warm, not hot. There was no choice condiments on table like seasoning, hard or soft butter.there was pepper. I had the crab boil but there was no crackers n I didn't have the strength to crack open the claw or bigger legs so I only ate a couple legs and skipped the rest. My husband was able to get them open but they were cold by then n meat wasn't coming out. He had the crawfish n said they were old but he ate some of them . the mussels were really good though. We would love to see a boil with seasoning, red potatoes n sausage as an option so we can give it another shot. I thought the price was a tad high for this, but w seasoning n sausage it would be worth it. We liked the atmosphere there.

If you love Halloween, this is the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night in October. The haunted house is quick and fun. The haunted corn maze is 16 acres full of dead ends, flashing lights, and dozens of actors stalking you through the corn. If you're lost or need help, the actors will help you, whether with a subtle hint or escorting you out of the maze in case of an emergency. WARNING: There are many strobe lights in all of the haunted attractions. On select Sundays in October, there's a nonhaunted corn maze and various family activities. Tickets are for both attractions and are $25 per person. Coupons for 3 dollars off per group are available in the middle of the Butler Eagle annual calendar.

We are writing a review because there are several aspects of the Beacon that would persuade us never to go back again. The first was during dinner. The waitress did not tell us that the specials were not vaild during "haunt season". We went to dinner there to get the over all experience.

Our second issue were the tickets for the haunted attractions. We tried to use a coupon and where over charged. We had to go back to the ticket booth to get correct change.

The third issue was the corn maze. The first part of the corn maze was tolerable, even though the actors kept telling you the wrong way after you asked for some direction. Where it went down hill was when they intentionally seperated our party. The first half of our group went left and the second went right. The group that went left wandered around and repeatedly asked for the way out, using the the safe word - "Beacon". It took us talking to 4 different people before we were given correct directions and a little respect. Some of the actors stood in front of us and would not let us leave. Some taunted us, after we made it very clear we were finished participating in the event and simply wanted to go back. We were given wrong directions "make two lefts" yet again which only added insult to injury

The "haunted house" portion was basially non-existant. It wasn't worth even a donation. Plus, the port-a-johns really detracted from what little ambiance there was. Two of us went back to the restaurant to use the restrooms and where asked for ID to get back in.

Ninety percent of the actors are high school and even elementry kids - we really felt like we were being punished (wrong directions several times) by asking to leave. There needs to be more supervision by ownership. It was a waste of an evening.

We normally enjoy haunted attractions and can very much recommend Cheeseman's Farm. You'll receive better scares, better food, cleaner rest areas, and more...

Well when you think of a place to dine in with your family you expect it to be a friendly environment right? You assumed wrong a lady named Nikki was our server on a Saturday night 10/08/22. So we get our drinks ordered and later she comes back. We go ahead and order our food there’s 6 of us so all 6 of us ordered at the same time. An hour goes by they didn’t bring us the other drinks we asked for and a salad as an appetizer that came out at dinner. The food finally comes out after about an hour and we all got our food except for my mom. So she goes and flags down Nikki and lets her know she didn’t get her burger. As we eat we all finish our meals fully and still no burger and we were eating for 45 mins. My mom goes and asks Nikki if it was done and she said the chief was just now melting the cheese on it so my mom told Nikki to just forget about it because we were already done eating. My mom said this in a calm voice to the waitress Nikki and she said okay but Nikki never came over to ask us if everything was okay too like how you should but anyways getting back to the point Nikki goes and talks to her manager and says my mother was yelling at her and when my mom went up to pay the bill. Nikki which is significantly younger has the urge to ask my 56 year old mother if she wanted to take it outside to like fight and she’s asked her this 2 TIMES. As my mom stayed calm and ignored her, Nikki saw she wasn’t getting anywhere she goes and yells at my mom and my family to leave or she’s calling the cops. ABSOLUTELY NO WAITRESS SHOULD LIE AND TRY TO FIGHT THEIR CUSTOMER AND TO THREATEN TO CALL THE COPS ON THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. Truly unacceptable, Poor service, Rude waitress. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want Nikki the waitress picking a fight with your family members because shes having a bad day. This...

Tomorrow is husband's birthday. He wanted wings from here so we made the trek from New Castle to the Beacon. We seated ourselves and waited about 10 minutes till I went up and grabbed menus. Few minutes later he went up to grab drinks. There was a computer issue and the server said she'd be over to help us soon. My drink tasted like soap. His did too, but eventually he figured there was low co2 in the fountain. But it was awful. The waitress did end up taking it off the bill. He ordered a dozen wings. I got a burger and fries and asked the fries be loaded. Also ordered a garbage fry for an appetizer. I went to get another drink hoping it was just the cup. It wasn't, well could've been because she just dumped my drink and refilled it. Food took awhile. But given whole wings take awhile it was understandable. When she did bring the food, my fries were plain. The burger was on the pink side but edible. She forgot to put in our garbage fries. We finally got them when we were practically done with the rest of our food. Ate some. But the dogs will probably get the rest. The bar was on the busy side, there were 3 tables eating. Im trying to take that into consideration writing this but it just wasn't a great experience. Maybe hire a couple more people, make sure your equipment is working property, the customers get their food in the correct order, and have food that is better than meh. The reason for the 3 stars is my husband did like his wings. Everything else was pretty unremarkable. Did we come on a bad day? Possibly. I don't know, but as someone that spent years in the food industry, I would definitely strive for better if this...
