Derrick City Diner — Restaurant in Foster Township

Today we ordered the Broasters Chicken (16 piece) which comes in at over $40.00. It was the second time getting this meal and we decided that after a mediocre first experience we would give a local business a second chance. This time around it was way below par as to what would be considered good fried chicken. The pieces were so small they could have been mistaken for quail. I've attached a picture taken on a saucer of one of the wings compared next to a teaspoon. The cook did not cater to adjust cooking times for the very small pieces so all sixteen pieces were way overcooked. There was nothing appealing whatsoever about the fried chicken today. The sides were ok so no complaints there. We would not be getting this meal again. Broasters has fallen flat. As a side note, the fried chicken from TOPS Supermarket is 10 times better - bigger pieces, more flavor, better tasting...so better deal for...

The food and prices were excellent….although the waitress we had was not very nice….don’t know her name,,,just that she was blonde and had a loud mouth!!!!! She took our order, never came back to see how our food was or if we needed anything….she was very social to people she knew (regular customers)…but not to us…..you would think she would be mor social to new customers so they would come back……we waited for our bill as she stood with it in her hand while chatting loudly to customers she knew…..the bell rang meaning a meal was ready to give to a customer,,,instead of giving us our bill, then getting the meal, she decided to go get the meal first……then finally came to our table and placed the receipt on the table…..nothing more!!!!! We will return in the future because the food was good,,,,,but she needs to be a better...

I'm visiting a friend for the holidays and happened into this little gem of a restaurant. After dropping him off at work I stopped by for breakfast the week before Christmas. I must say that I'm impressed with the quality of food and service. I'm from the western US and it's hard to find an affordable place that has food this good. Most places I've eaten are overpriced with lackluster food/service. I've been back twice in the past week. I have yet to have anything other than a great experience. The customers are all friendly as are the staff. I can't wait to try the burgers as I hear from other locals they are outstanding. I'm a burger fanatic. I checked out the lunch and dinner menu and it all looks good. I'll be back soon. If you are traveling through Derrick City, PA then stop here and enjoy. Happy...
