Pete's Diner — Restaurant in Fountain Inn

I thought this was going to be my spot. I tried their catfish twice. First time it was really good because it was my first time having catfish. I ordered corn nuggets, fried okra and shrimp and it came with hush puppies and Cole slaw. Second catfish plate wasn’t so good, but I didn’t trip. Third time, ordered flounder with corn nuggets and potato salad after work. Get home and first thing I bite into is potato salad. It is SOUR, if I’m saying it right, as if it’s spoiled. I immediately call and let them know. First thing he said was he needed to check the potato salad he had left at the restaurant as to not serve it to others then asked me if I wanted another side. I was home for the night working on a project and couldn’t leave. I was reminded at that moment that I should never eat other’s potato salad. Meanwhile, I finished the corn nuggets and fish (which tasted fine) hoping I wouldn’t get sick from the one horrible ingestion of the salad. Next morning I became sick and it all came up. Unfortunately, I cannot go back and I’m very disturbed about being served spoiled potato salad. I always wondered how they were able to have such a large menu of items and this shows that sometimes we do too much. May need to cut back on some items and focus on less to limit things like this...

The last time we ordered delivery, the food was horrible! We always order from here & the food is usually AWESOME! HOWEVER, THE LAST TIME WE ORDERED, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! The FLOUNDER SANDWICH WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! First of all, it was a MUCH SMALLER PIECE OF FISH THAN THE FLOUNDER SANDWICH USUALLY PRODUCES! IT ONLY COVERED HALF THE BUN & THE TOMATO WAS A HUGE CHUNK WITH THE CORE LEFT IN IT! MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT & WASTE OF MONEY! THE FRIES ARE USUALLY PIPING HOT, BUT NOT THIS TIME! THE ENTIRE MEAL SUCKED & I FELT LIKE I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A REFUND! THE HOT DOGS LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE THROWN TOGETHER IN A HURRY! THIS JUST WASN'T THE KIND OF DELICIOUS FOOD THAT PETE'S DINER USUALLY PRODUCES!! THEY REALLY HAD AN "OFF NIGHT" & DON'T KNOW WHEN OR IF I'LL BE ORDERING FROM THEM...

The food was alright and the menue looked pretty good! But they got my order wrong and the service was so kind it was borderline annoying, just let me eat.. What really brought it down to a 2 stars was the cleanliness. When I went, bathroom was a wreck, all floors looked like they hadn't been swept in over a day (we came in at 1 and this place wasn't busy enough to have that much dirt by 1pm).
