Waffle House — Restaurant in Fountain Inn

I have finally decided it was time to leave a review on this joke of a restaurant. We have been frequent customers of this store for over 30 years. In 30 years I have never been turned away once until the last couple of years. We have been walked up to a lock door the last 5 visits. At least 4 of the last 6 visits we have been told that the grill is closed for cleaning. Mind you we go at all different times so unless it’s a very odd coincidence, the grill should be the cleanest grill in Waffle House history. Now we have to drive 15 mins to the store just to find out if they will even let us in the door. They refuse to answer the phone most of the time. I understand the struggles with finding employees to actually come to work. I have been hiring dozens of people before, during, and after the pandemic. What I do know is there are dozens of Waffle House employees working from home and offices somewhere. I would hope that before we lose such a popular place in our little town for generations that some of those desk jobs could become in the store jobs until we can finally figure out our workforce issues. Wanted to call in a order this morning before I had to be at work at 7! Called in at 6:32 stayed on the phone on hold until I got there (10 mins) got there and it wasn't full at all maybe 3 tables ! Waited in line for 7 mins while the phone was just laid down on the hook! She took a tables order and then stopped to go ahead and total her ticket! She never stopped to pick up the phone when the tables ticket could have been totaled up after they got there food and you answered the phone ! She kept slowly walking by looking at me and never even attempted to take my order! Had to finally walk out and go to Hardee's were I got the same thing cheaper and faster and tasted better ! Crappy service and I used to stop here every morning for 3 people! We will not be back to this...

Awesome Service ,Great welcome welcoming as you enter the door... You never have to wait on a waitress usually no more than 2 or 3 minutes if you have to wait that long they're putting her spoon knife fork and napkins out and you have your menu right there in front of you and you're ready to go take your order awesome guy name in there his name is Jesse he's just an awesome guy he's a lot of fun he will help you make your decision and man will it be awesome he made me a BLT caller Texas BLT man Scott so much bacon on it I could have shared it with three people thank you Jesse will see you again good guy you take care now on will talk to you guys later y'all have a great night y'all come on up here to Fountain Inn South Carolina y'all see Jessie y'all take...
