We've decided to try them out today. We had the chicken-fried steak, loaded Mashed potatoes, a roll, and house salad, coleslaw and corn. Waited about 10 mins to be seated. The waiter brought our drinks right away. A few mins later the house salad. It was great and good size. We had to wait about 5 minutes to eat it though because we did not have any silverware they were out of silverware when we got there the reason why I knew this is the two girls that were rolling the new silverware and the napkins set down at the table next to us. I did enjoy listening to their conversation though why eating so no complaints. The salad honestly was so good I probably would have ate it with my fingers with no complained. Lunch followed the chicken-fried steak was awesome. Pretty much everything was awesome right up until I bit into my loaded mashed potatoes. They were so cold I might as well have been eating ice cream not only that they seemed like they were instant mashed potatoes with no flavoring. The waiter was awesome and offered to take them back or give us new ones that were hot 20 minutes later she brought out new servings of loaded mashed potatoes. I wish I could say that they were better but sadly they were room temperature and still cold in the middle the cheese wasn't even melted on the top not even when we got home I might add. The waiter again offered to go back and pop them in the microwave again. We declined as normally we are not the people that ever complain or send anything back. Honestly if you can't get it right on the second try most likely you will not. The waiter told us that the cook had informed her that it was because of whoever pull them out did not let them set long enough before they put them on the line 🤷 Not to mention we had already eaten most of our food.🤦‍♀️ Ordered a bear claw for dessert. Honestly it was great. I really enjoyed it but I had to smother in butter when I got home to be able to chew it 🙂 I really liked it. I recommend trying their pie instead though 🙂. I would also recommend you do not go with the loaded mashed potatoes and go with a baked potato sadly the baked potatoes are not offered until after 4 though. We paid the full price without complaint for the meal even with the horrible tasteless cold/frozen potatoes and extra for a side sour cream to try flavor said Cold potato's. We left a good tip as our waiter was awesome and I really enjoyed the decorations on the walls. As for the loaded mashed potatoes we brought them home and gave them to our hogs so did not go to waste. We had to wait a good 15 minutes to check out even though there was nobody at the register but it wasn't bad because there was lots of good stuff to look at. 🙂There was a couple at the table behind that had salads that looked awesome.🙂 We will probably go back at least once or twice more to try their salads for a main dish and their breakfast. All-around is a good dining option for traveling families and truckers. A lot of our locals have also enjoyed them. 🙂 All the employees and staff were great and all of them very friendly.🙂 Update: we went in the other night for the third time. We both ordered steaks. Both steaks were cooked frozen mine was half size as my husbands over cooked dry no flavor. My husbands was rare but dry with no flavor both cold. Baked potatoes were yellow and cold butter and cheese wouldn't even melt on them. The salad was plain lettuce and two tomatoes. Toast was good. Coffee was good. All around dinner was 72.00 not worth the price. If I ever go back I will try cold sandwiches because they seem to have trouble with warm dishes...... Our waiter was...

We are truck drivers that happened to be parked here all weekend. We ate at the diner a total of 4 times. Each meal was aprox $50. Service was great so I have no complaints there. I’m only going to speak on my meals, not my husbands. The first meal I had was the salmon. I was disappointed that the pesto was no longer available. I got 2 grape tomatoes cut in half and 3 wilted spinach leaves. Is spinach so expensive that for almost $18 for the meal that’s what we’re doing now? The 2nd meal was to go and mine was the meatloaf. They were out of broccoli so we substituted green beans. They were not in the bag. So no veg. My salad was great but only came with one tiny cup of ranch that wasn’t even full. I didn’t feel like walking all the way across the parking lot to get missing items. The 3rd meal was an omelette that was perfect but we ordered our hash browns well done. They were barely cooked and my English muffin wasn’t toasted. The waitress said she gets the most complaints out of everything about the hash browns. No well done hash browns were offered. Not sure why it hasn’t been addressed if it’s such a problem. My last meal was a patty melt and fries. The fries were perfect but instead of the patty melt having yummy grilled onions, it had hot( not grilled) purple salad onions. And yes, there is a big difference between an onion that you put on a salad and onions that are for grilling. Salad onions are very strong. I didn’t send it back because my waitress was great and all the problems weren’t her fault. I did tell her on the first day that the cook just needed to slow down a bit, and that with things so expensive attention to quality was important. People will wait an extra 5 minutes for things to be done right. I’m not a complaining Karen I just wish that for aprox $18 a meal not including drink, that things would be on point. Every single meal had something wrong. I don’t want anything for free but a few secret shoppers might...

Honestly wasn’t expecting to much from a truck stop diner. We normally go to the Black Bear Diner on Dysart every Sunday. But my husband suggested we went to this one since it was new. We got sat down right away which was awesome, someone brought us drinks right away great start… then we sat and waited for 15 to 16 minutes for a server. I asked the lady at the counter for a server and still no one for almost 10 minutes after asking for help. Finally the manager and a young male server with long hair in a ponytail took our order. The manager comped our pancakes for the wait which was nice. We asked for extra chicken with our food it didn’t come out with the rest so I asked them to bring it to us, we started to eat then after a really long time this tiny chicken breast came out. Don’t get me wrong the food was good and the service wasn’t terrible until the very end. I was upset about the chicken so I asked them to take it off the bill. Honestly if they nicely said “I’m sorry I can’t do that.” I would have been fine instead what I got from the young (mixed lady with hair natural hair in a top pony) adding description for reference’) was, “did you get the chicken?!?” I said “yes” she said “then we are not talking it off sorry” it was the attitude for me. I normally don’t write reviews but this just sat with me in a bad way. Even after all that I would still go there again. Maybe the next time...

Only three stars for service because last night when I went in, I sat there for a while and not one server came from the back to even acknowledge that I was there. Lady walked by and saw me, but nobody ever came out. This morning when I went in, however, the guy came right up to me and asked if I wanted anything to drink to start. He was very attentive. I ordered the avocado toast breakfast. It comes with two eggs and fruit. I specifically said to be careful not to overcook the eggs. Absolutely no brown streaks in it. It was still slightly overcooked, but not horrible. Definitely edible. The avocado toast was just a little bit of plain smashed avocado in the middle of a very large piece of toast. Not horrible, but not great. Just plain basic avocado toast. I ordered a side of their mild sausage patties. They hand make them in house. At first, I thought it was a little pricey being $6.99 for two sausage patties. However, they are very large patties. Really good too. That, I would get again. I also ordered the mocha iced coffee. Everything together came to $25 and change. Not really worth it for what I got. But it was something. There were a number of other items on the menu that sound good. Perhaps I will try something different next time I visit one.
