Black Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Four Corners States

01/04/25. My brother and I had breakfast this morning at Black Rock Cafe. I had the "Homemade Strawberry Vanilla Yorgert," and my brother had the Chicken Fried Steak , eggs, and hashbrowns.

Both meals were very good and very filling. Did i mention that the bottomless cup of coffee is hot and fresh, and someone is always there to refill your cup.

Prices are very competitive, and the amount of food you are served is amazing as their portions are huge! Go there hungry, you won't be disappointed.

The waitresses are always checking up on you to ensure everything is the way you like it, if there's anything you need, and if you're doing ok.

The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed it almost feels like you're having a meal with your family and friends, mostly because you are!

If you haven't been to Ramona's "Black Rock Cafe," I'm very sorry because you're missing out on a great meal, great service, and...

We had breakfast at the cafe this morning. We ordered omelets - and were told that we couldn’t have them. Supposedly there was an egg shortage? Our food was ok. My scrambled eggs were over cooked, the bacon was chewy- not crispy, and the hash browns were undercooked. (I’d requested them to be crispy also). The egg muffins were hot & delicious. The coffee was ok. Our server was very sweet, but was upbraided publicly by her supervisor (the cook? Owner?) for not preparing the coffee filters correctly and for some issue with our order. Later as we were leaving, the cook asked who had ordered an omelet- stating that she couldn’t make them for everyone. This cook’s words were harsh and the experience was unpleasant for us. Her treatment of her staff was not appropriate or kind. We would not return to this...

We reserve ordered two Take Out Prime Rib Dinners. The beef portions were generous and, as prime rib should be, arrived medium rare. Sadly, one meal arrived cold. The Baked Potato was so cold the butter would not melt. The meat was barely warm. Even though we preordered two days in advance and arrived at the specified time for pick up, we still had to wait about 15 minutes for our order. This place is that busy on Prime Rib days. We called within 5 minutes of receiving our order and had to leave a message to let then know the problem. We received a call the next day with an apology and a credit for the cold meal. $hit happens and the business took care of us.. We will check our order before leaving next time. We would rather have had hot food...
