We made a stop at the Cameron Trading Post Restaurant just to try their food—and wow, we’re so glad we did! Totally fell in love with their Navajo fried bread and beef stew. It was seriously one of the most comforting and flavorful meals we’ve had on our road trip. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and really well made.
Big shoutout to Daven, one of the staff members—he went out of his way to help us. We had our 5-month-old with us, and he brought over a car seat holder so we could actually sit and enjoy our meal in peace. It might seem like a small gesture, but for tired parents, it meant a lot. He was so kind and thoughtful, and it really added to the experience.
The view from the restaurant is also beautiful—it has this quiet, scenic vibe that just makes you want to sit and soak it all in. And honestly, for how good the food was, the prices felt super affordable, which was a nice surprise.

But good god - the food is subpar. We tried their Navajo taco so you don't have to. A $13 soggy bean tostada smothered in New-Mexico-style green chile. It's big enough to share, if you have a friend you don't like very much. The fry bread is delicious, however. We all loved that. The burger bun is fry bread as well, which is nice. But ours was tragically over-cooked. Cool stop on a road trip. But it will make you really appreciate the next...

I was planning on tipping over the 15%, because service was really good. We had only a couple of issues and they were immediately fixed! The food was good, the portions were generous and we needed to take some home! If I am ever back in the neighborhood, we will be stopping at Cameron Trading post again to eat! The dining room was lovely and the picture windows overlooked a canyon (not pictured)-...
