Missing @Alberto’s Pizza in Cebu.🍕

(Disclaimer: We were too hungry to remember pictures of the actual food before eating) Pie head here...gotta try the pie everywhere I go, whether its just passing through or trying to establish a new long term relationship. Still not quite sure how I ended up living on a Native American reservation, specifically the Zuni reservation (much too personal for restaurant review)...but even if I didn't have such a knowledgeable guide, there's basically no way to miss Chu Chu's and not say to yourself, "yea, lets grab a bite to eat there". No, seriously, this place is right off the main road into town, and has a dominant presence like no other structure except maybe the brand new Halona Supermarket...the owner must be a billionaire by now. So, I was already on my in for the Pizza, but without any pretense you'd probably never guess that their specialty is Pizza and Subs, but by the time you're seated and get your menu with the Native American looking Chef Boyardee mascot on every page, you'll probably get the hint. A word about the venue itself....the place is massive!, well decorated with an authentic and unique decour that feels classy but home-y, and apparently serves as a community hub for birthday parties and many other social functions. Like, even the Governor eats at Chu-Chu's once a week...its that big of a deal. Interestingly enough, the entire reservation is dry, so don't expect to wash away the inevitable and pleasant tingle of green chile from your palette with cold beer...this however does make a statement about the strength and quality of the food and drink menu. We had a feast...starting with the standard XL Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza which I use as a reference for any first time patronage, except with a New Mexico twist; the aforementioned Green Chile, which was baked in just right, and enhanced the Pizza as opposed to hindering it. We also ordered a Brisket platter that I must say was as unique as it was delicious...specifically, compared to the more widespread Texas style, the cuts were thinner and less charred, but well carmelized with less salt, and lighter in color. (Will need to do a Youtube dive about that actually...) Long story short, we had leftover Pizza to go, and I'll definitely be back, with hopes of bumping into the Govna of course! Special shoutout to Alex, the young and charming host, server, and manager on duty...apparently he's been working there since the 1st grade, so if you have any questions, you should def ask him. He knows. Thanks Alex, We'll be back!

Keshi Chu Chu I order your ex large sub today. My grand kids like you subs n pizza . but today was different your sub was not like what we order when we go home to Zuni to visit. There is only layer of ham and salame. So if am paying. $25-30. For an ex large sub I want to taste what I order. Don't get wrong the kids like the pizza it that you subs were once 2-3" thick to sub that are flat to 1 14" like subway. So I hope next time I order. A get a. Sub that really cost $25.to $30. With enough meat which makes it taste like a Sub. And not just bread and greens

Hostess was more concerned with personal matters regarding the passing of my relative and the conditions leading up to their passing. When I clearly stated that I did not want to talk about it as there were other patrons in the venue that could hear her every question. She STILL continued to discuss the issue I again stated that it was not what I wanted to talk about and that ALL I was trying to do was pay an pick up a food order. When the name was give for the order the hostess then stated that the person had already came in and picked up the order which was not the case because the person who had ordered the food originally was outside in my veh. Needless to say the experience was not an expected or enjoyable one.... A similar experience whit the same Hostess had occurred previously with the hostess questioning my mother and I if I knew who my sons father was and stating that my son looked nothing like me. She then when on to question my sons ethnicity.... i was then that we had stopped visiting the establishment. Had it not been for the request of assistance from another patron to simply just pay and pick up an order I would not have returned and nor will I be returning to this establishment again...

We have had two completely different experiences. Our first experience was amazing-food, service fantastic! We just left from our second experience and it was horrendous. Our fried chicken wasn't cooked all the way through, the fajita chicken was cook to superdry. The server put our food on a table for 4 minutes while she handled a customer paying their bill. When we ordered we told our server we were going to order two sandwiches to go. We were so disappointed in our meal that we just got up and paid. Our server did not ask how our meal was or if we wanted to order the sandwiches.

We went back because of the first experience. Next time will call to see if the inmates are running the...
