the family is from albuquerque. incredible red and green chile. better than colorado style chiles. stacked enchiladas instead of rolled ones. great burgers, chile cheese fries, sopapillas, chimichangas, quesadillas, chile rellenos, and many burritos. same family that had the three jack n grill restaurants in the 90s and 2000s in denver :-)
we’ve eaten her 5 times now, and we can’t believe how EVERYTHING is so good. their chiles and beans are literally the best in colorado - but everything else is fire. their fries are kind of thin and a little crispy. their sopapillas are perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. their rellenos are super crispy. the excellent drinks, and friendly service tie everything together

The New Mexico Red Chile was the best I’ve had in a long time. Even better, Jack’s son Jack is now running things and he’s awesome. Read moreI really wanted to like it, but the Dez “burger” I got was basic. Tortilla filled with dry burger and generic veggies, green chiles and a bit of cheese. Mediocre. Fries were better than I thought. The sopapillas were plain.
I will come back and reevaluate but not my fave...
