Went up recently for expecting a great day out and ended up feeling sick and nauseous before even leaving the “restaurant “. Do not recommend the burgers and even the waitstaff said “you can get a burger anywhere” so my friend ordered the Philly. I had a burger, her son chicken strips and we all left feeling sick to our stomachs. Bugs on the crawling on the table, service in my opinion came off as rude and annoyed we all even came in. One staff woman smoking right at the entry to the door leaving the entire area we were seated to smell of smoke to the point the children with us couldn’t finish their meals. Heads up do not get a refill it’s $2 each time which would have been awesome to know ahead of time. The overall experience was a definite turn off. They occupy most of the parking yet their “cafe” is smaller than the main restaurant which makes zero sense and if you park in their area they will definitely let you know as this is not the first time we’ve been up CK but our first dining experience with them if that’s what you call it. The menu is limited and really not worth the price but that’s what convenience gets you I guess. If you’re heading up I’d recommend packing a lunch or a snack or trying the other restaurant and this being an absolute...
Read moreOn yesterday, a friend and I really enjoyed our selves at MJ's. That 2hr and 15 minute ride (5 to 10 mph in my Nissan was not expected) on that pot hole road shaking every roll of the tires, after 17 North ended, made our trip real pleasant after we got there. Yes, that was a round trip skaking experience. O yes, hope to visit there again. We got there late to visit the General Store. It closes at 3pm. This was our first time there. ALL the people there were so friendly. I went in talking and had great fun. Truth fully, my well put together burger was better than Sonics to me. It was packed and the egg yolk broke and I used my seasoned fries to dip in it. I ate one and ordered another to go. 😋 Danielle had the shrimp. Thank you to every one at MJ's. There are a few small towns before Crown King, Az that we drove through named Bumble Bee and Cleator. They were closed when...
Read moreIt's always a nice drive up the mountain into Crown King. We typically stop at MJs Cafe. MJ has a geat menu, burgers, fries, wraps, hot sandwiches, and the food is always phenomena! I normally get the reuben sandwich with fries, and it's always so on point. We've traveled up to Crown King in the snow as well, and it's always nice to sit at MJs Cafe with a hot sandwich and hot chocolate just enjoying the scenery outside. The atmosphere is very old school and her place is very charming. It's good to know that you will see a lot of people on their ATVs or side-by-side. You also get a lot of bikers up there. If you can get up the mountain, I recommend you try this place out...
