An Incredible Experience — Beautiful Atmosphere, Great Food, and Unique Vibes! We found this gem while exploring Bryce Canyon National Park, thanks to Google Maps. My boyfriend spotted it, and I’m so glad he did! I had no idea that Clear Sky Resorts had a restaurant on-site, and discovering it felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure.
The restaurant is about a 30-40 minute drive from Bryce Canyon, and we made it there just before sunset. The drive itself was scenic, but the real treat was when we arrived. Their grounds are beautifully maintained, and we got to see the stunning domes that make this resort so unique. It made us wish we had booked a stay there!
Once we stepped inside the restaurant — WOW. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The dome is massive, with beautiful decor that feels cozy yet upscale. The atmosphere instantly felt warm and welcoming.
We started with some wine and beer, followed by truffle fries as an appetizer. For our main courses, I ordered the Apollo Brick Chicken, and my boyfriend got the Hubble Penne Pasta with Chicken. Both dishes were fantastic — flavorful, well-cooked, and beautifully presented.
One thing to keep in mind: the food does take time to come out, so be prepared to relax and enjoy the ambiance. But trust me, it’s worth the wait!
About an hour into our meal, a live singer started performing. The live music was such a wonderful surprise and really added to the experience. It made our evening feel even more special.
To top it all off, when we asked about dessert, our server told us we could grab free marshmallows, chocolate, and cookies to roast outside at their fire pit. Of course, we couldn’t resist! We grabbed a pack (you get two marshmallows, but you can ask for more) and headed outside to enjoy the fire under the stars.
Roasting marshmallows outside in front of the fire pit was the perfect way to end the evening. It felt magical — the combination of the warm fire, the starry sky, and the cozy dome made it an unforgettable experience.
If you're in the Bryce Canyon area, I highly recommend making the trip to this restaurant. It's more than just a meal — it's an experience that you’ll remember long after...
Read moreWelcome to Sky Nova (or maybe Clear Sky Resort… honestly depends on who you ask. Our waiter didn’t know either, so don’t feel bad).
This place is like a social experiment in how many ways you can say “no” to a customer while still charging $58 for a steak. You can’t customize your food here. Not even a little. Can’t remove or add anything from your food. Unless they’re out of something—then suddenly customization is magically allowed. Kids can say how they want their burgers cooked, but adults? Sit down and take your mystery steak however the chef’s mood dictates. Basically said the chef will prepare the steak however they would like 😂
The burger on the menu was listed with caramelized onions. But…..Nope. No onions for you. Apparently, only the chef is allowed to make changes.
And the kids’ meals? We politely asked if the kids’ food could come out first—naturally, it came out dead last. One kids burger was missing lettuce and tomato. Instead of just bringing a plate of toppings like normal humans, they whisked away the entire burger like it was being admitted to surgery. Then took about 10 minutes to bring it back.
Drinks were another adventure. Waited forever for a second drink from the bar, finally asked where it was—turns out our server hadn’t even placed the order yet. Our server pretended he placed the order, but turns out he was just waiting for us to finish our first drink like some kind of alcohol babysitter?? Then when a drink did appear? Surprise! Wrong one. Honestly at that point it felt like performance art.
Let’s not forget the other highlights: out of watermelon, out of iced tea, no double shots allowed.. boooo.. (Utah law? Waiter law? Who knows). Basically, they serve what they feel like serving and you should be grateful to be there.
Now, to be fair: the atmosphere is genuinely awesome. The moon plates are super cool, silverware was cool and the whole setup feels unique. But it’s like wrapping a brick in Tiffany paper—it looks great, but the experience is gonna hurt.
If you want a comedy show where you pay high-end prices to be told “no” in increasingly creative ways, this...
Read moreI was really excited to see and try this place since it looks amazing on their website. Driving up, it definitely had that same cool vibe—the Clear Sky Resort seems to offer a lot of great amenities.
That said, to be fair, we arrived without a reservation at 7:30. The main dining room—the one featured all over their Instagram—was closed and looked like it hadn’t been in use, with clutter scattered around. We were directed to the front desk, where they told us the first available reservation was at 9:00, but we could order takeout instead, which we did. The menu was solid, and they even had a kids’ menu. The front desk staff didn’t seem particularly interested in our presence. We would have gladly enjoyed a cocktail during our wait, but it didn’t seem welcome.
It looked like they were seating diners in small outdoor domes—maybe eight of them—but at 7:35, most were empty. Only one party arrived to be seated during the 15 minutes we waited for our food. The chef, who was friendly and welcoming, brought out our order and mentioned that the dining room “needed some changes.” It wasn’t clear what that meant.
We took the food back to where we were staying, about 10 minutes away, and it was good. I had a salad with chicken, and we also ordered the ribeye and a burger. The fries were still crisp, which was a nice surprise! I was excited to see this restaurant in person, but I don’t understand why they continue to promote the dining room on their website and Instagram if it...
