Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed everything we got! The green chili burros we ordered without Pico, were very flavorful! They seasoned the meat nicely before they added the green chili, other places don't usually do that. The Bean & cheese burro was great, no pico. It was loaded with beans & plenty of yummy cheese! I also ordered carne asada nachos and omg the meat was so delicious 😋🤤! The seasoning again was perfect, I could taste the citrus and the crispy edges were to die for! I was disappointed that it had nacho cheese at first but it actually wasn't bad because the flavors all melded together nicely! The guacamole was seasoned awesomely, again I could taste the yummy citrus. The beans could have been piled higher, there could have been more meat but it was still enjoyable because there was plenty guac, cheese & sour cream. It would have been divine with shredded cheese, (which I looked afterwards that is an option) but I still loved all of our food! Thank you for the quality ingredients and fair prices! We're coming here instead of Moreno's from now on because we live 3min away! We never thought we'd find anywhere close to Moreno's but.. you're head to head.. if not better in the spices! Thanks for coming to our little part of the neighborhood! We're recommending...
Read moreCame here 2 days in a row for lunch and late afternoon snack while weekend trail riding with our bikes. Food was pretty good both times. Portions are good, burros are pretty huge. 1st time we went I got the carne asada California burrito (includes guac and fries inside), and the wife got a bean and cheese burrito. She asked for the pico on the side as she does not like tomatoes at all, and I usually eat her pico instead. She was a bit disappointed as she had to dissect her food while eating it. Wish they would have just payed attention a little better. Got the chips and salsa too which was not bad, more of a pico chunky type salsa but flavorful. The 2nd day we came, I got the carne asada street tacos and she got the quesadilla. Both items were very good and we enjoyed those too. The quesadilla is a bit pricey but tasted good with fresh tortilla. Red and green sauces taste good too. The lady who served us the first day we came in was really nice and pleasant. The interior looks good and is cozy. We will probably stop in on the weekends during our bike rides as we enjoy it. I recommend the carne asada street tacos, 3-5 of them really...
Read moreWent here on a date with the hubby. We're originally from CA and miss the delicious Mexican food. Well, we didn't have to look far. Tacos Mexico 1 is right here in STV and it brought back everything we have been missing. I had the birria stew bowl with all the fixings and my husband ordered tacos with a few different meats to try them out. We were not disappointed. The food is fresh, they listened to me about my severe gluten allergy and the cook made sure to make my food separate to cut down on cross contamination. There is never a guarantee of 100% GF when it is a shared kitchen but the staff took the time to make me feel comfortable and safe before I ate. And the food was bomb! I wanted to be selfish and keep this little hole-in-the-wall to myself but I can't help it. You've got to try the food. And I'm going back to try the menudo one of these weekends. I'm a sucker for a good bowl of menudo so you might catch me there soaking up the flavors, slurping in pure contentment. Try this place if you want authentic Mexican flavors and fresh, scratch...
