So I used to come here all the time...always been good. Well life happens, you forget about spots you enjoy, discover new ones, then realize you haven't been to one of your favorites in years....Today as me and the family are out enjoying spring break, I decided it's time to introduce my family to roost 59. Not only was it absolutely expensive (which I don't mind if the food is good but we will get to that), but it was also absolutely terrible. I got the roost beef, kids got a roost chicken sandwich and a mac attack burger, wife got the roost burger. Let's start with how both burgers were so messy they couldn't even eat them, my wife ate barely half of hers and my son ate a little more than that, my daughter didn't have many complaints except for the sauce (which is fine, she never had the sandwich so it's understandable she might not like something), but my roost beef was absolutely the worst beef I have had in my life....not only was there tons of hard fat in the beef, but there wasn't any beef on the sandwich at all. Literally all bread and sauce, my French bread was maybe a quarter full. Absolutely disappointed, my fries were stale and discolored, overloaded on sauce but no beef. And here comes the absolute worse part of it all, my son has been throwing up and crying his stomach hurts for the last 2 hours now. I paid almost 70 dollars for one of the worst meals my family has ever eaten and now my son is sick on the toilet because of it. Avoid at all costs, never again will I ever think about going here. No wonder this place doesn't seem as popular as it used to be. To be honest, 70 dollars for a family of 4 at a hot dog stand is obnoxious, especially with the amount of bread to beef ratio. We love going out to eat, we enjoy good food and great service, and we are also in the food industry ourselves. That being said, just do better, I can not express how trash this meal was, or how disappointed me and my entire family were. DO NOT GO HERE, unless of course you love over paying for less than...
Read moreI went here on a Sunday. The first item I asked for was unavailable so I asked if they had the second thing I wanted to be sure I wasn't disappointed again and I guess the cashier thought I was being a smart ass and decided not to listen when I asked for no peppers. I got hots dogs and their Italian beef egg rolls that weren't heated all the way through. The only thing that seemed to be in order was the blue moon shake. If they can get proper techniques down the food would be good.
Cashier didnt even ask if it was for there or to go and just put it to go to get me out and I find that rude which was how he was trying to hide the fact he purposely messed up my order. I don't appreciate spending my money for them to mess with my food because the employee is in their feelings about a question of...
Read moreThey have sandwiches that you can not get anywhere else. Their Roost pork is a spicy sandwich that is awesome. They also have a Roost beef which is a sweet beef, which is my wife's favorite, and they have a Roost chicken which I have not tried yet. They also have great catfish fillets. I have also had their gyros which has a great sauce. They run a special on hot dogs for $1.00 on Sundays which I hear are very good, but I'm stuck on the other sandwiches. Oh I almost forgot, you have to try their sweet potato fries, unbelievable! Best I have ever had. They have a very varied menu with a lot to try. Tables are limited, but there is usually one available because a lot of people take...
