We have been loyal customers at Mullins for years and always looked forward to stopping in. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. The quality of the food has noticeably declined. The burgers, which used to be fresh and flavorful, now taste like a mushy substitute rather than real hamburger meat. The onion rings and fries also seem to have changed and now taste more like lower-quality alternatives. While prices have gone up, I wouldn’t mind paying more if the food was still as good as it used to be. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. Mullins used to be one of our favorite spots for a good burger, but we can no longer recommend it and won’t be returning. It’s a real disappointment to see such a beloved place go downhill.

Historical nostalgia in Fox Lake. That's it. Burger meat was tasteless. Needs help. No tomatoes or lettuce was available. Only American cheese "The square stuff in a plastic wrap" according to child waitress. The young girl cashier had no idea about menu and had to ask about everything once we could get her to tear her eyes away from her phone Sad Mullins. $6 burger was not worth it. You burnt my onion rings. Wasted $22 I would not recommend this nostalgia stop untill they improve the service and food quality. No pictures of food as it was just not worthy .

Everybody raves about this place. It's cute because there are car hops, it's an old fashioned hamburger and ice cream Drive in place. It was not my first time eating here, and, like before, I just don't think the food is very good. I stopped for lunch recently, had a cheeseburger, a small order of fries and a root beer, with tip was $12. The service was good, it didn't take long for the food to come out, but it doesn't taste like anything... 🤔 it's still a fun and nostalgic experience.

I would really love to give this place 5 stars. We love going to family owned small ice cream places. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. First it’s a drive in only service. We thought by walking up we could just order at the counter. Instead you have to sit at a table and can only order thru a server so you have to tip. Then we waited 15 min for our ice cream cones and 1 shake. Double cones were ridiculously tiny, as was the shake also. Picture is of the $5 shake. Chocolate shake had the consistency of chocolate milk so I sent it back to have it remade. With how long we waited I’m assuming it was made earlier and melted??? Atmosphere is nice sitting outside but would never go back. It has a cute story that you can read on the menu. It is family owned. Mr. Mullin originally had bought an A&W franchise and turned it into a diner. Mr. Mullin died in 2018 and his daughter owns it now. Wish I could rate it higher. I love the story. Unfortunately we won’t...

Mullin's has always been a destination for many. Travlers use it as it as a halfway point for a food and treat break on the way to and from the lake. Bikers stop in when the are out for a ride. We stop in for a lunch break when doing yard work, painting, etc. Today was our first journey to Mullin's this season. We selected a picnic table in the warm Spring sun. Before our friendly car hop came we were greeted with the wonderful smells of the burgers, onion rings, and other goodies that Mullin's has to offer. We were promptly served the continued quality of food that brings us back year after year. Super clean restrooms, water for your pets, and a few lawn toys for the kids to play, are bonus to your experiemce. Grab an icecream cone for the road. Enjoy the Mullin's drive...

We stopped to grab some easy food. We ordered chicken tenders and my husband ordered also french fries 🍟. Chicken tenders were ok taste. What extremely shock 😲 us, when we saw french fries. It cost 3$ but what we got was hardly to even call french fries. It was in mini paper bag size 3 inches and may be like only few very not tasty pieces of fries. I felt like it was the worst fries we ever had in our life for our money. I also ordered malt for 5$. It was in a small cup, sorry not what I expected for the money, plus taste of the malt was not good at all, warm even. The server was wonderful girl and place had sign it was open in 1934. But I am sure nobody would serve such a poor food at that place in the past. We were very disappointed of poor...
