Gera Tavern — Restaurant in Frankenmuth Township

The food was really good, but our service was subpar... our party of 6 didnt get all their food at once.. my husband and 6 yr old nephew were waiting while everyone else got theirs.. my husband didnt mind until he could see their food sitting in the window (we were right next to it) and she was at the bar talking and vaping ... I understand taking a break but maybe after everyone gets their food.. it sat there for almost 10 minutes.. my nephew was confused why he didn't get his food, so I waited for him to get his before I ate mine which made it kind of cold waiting there.. My burger was good though so I bet it would have been even better warm! Everyone else really enjoy the food! The cobb salad is huge and the chicken tenders were good. Just the service from the waitress was less than great. We are in Frankenmuth 6 or 7 times a year and this was the first time...

I would like to give more stars but just can't, me and my girlfriend stopped for lunch regardless of bad experiences in the past, we were first shocked at the prices, I had what I thought would be a bowl of chili for $9 (more than double the price of local competitors) and received a cup of chili which was quite bland, my girlfriend got their special which was nachos, it has completely unseasoned meat that looked like someone just chopped up hamburger patties and threw them on there. The waitress / bartender was more into her phone than doing her job, she went to refill my pop and filled it and then sat it on the bar and was typing away and smiling at her phone for a good 5 mins before she brought it back to me. Needless to say for the price point we expected alot better quality food and service. This is the 4th bad experience in a row so we will not...

Every single time we come in here, it’s impossible to get service, even if it’s only for a beer. Brought the family in tonight to meet other people for dinner, all five meals came out cold, nobody checked back after dropping food off. All this after having to flag someone down just to try to order because even though it wasn’t busy they were walking past us and standing in the corner talking.

Edit. We left sometime around 7 I believe. If you are looking at the bar, we were at the high top right by the door and games on the left. We had a toddler with us so that should make it easy to find on camera. All fries, tots and cheese dips were cold. Burgers were cold as well.
