Kirkland Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Franklin Township

My family stopped in for lunch after camping in Kirkland. It's a cute spot. The menu has lots of choices. The prices are high for a family restaurant but we understand everyone is trying to recover from covid shut downs. The server was nice enough. The problem came with the quality of the food. The kids menu is limited with 4 choices for breakfast and 4 for lunch/dinner. He chose a pancake and bacon. The bacon was some of that precooked junk that you just microwave. Yuck. Our daughter had the corned beef sandwich. It had no taste and was a couple thick pieces of what looked to be just ham of a weird color. The best part of our meals were the French fries and the ranch dressing. The salads that came with our sandwiches were literally just lettuce with a little bit of carrot shreds... no tomatoes, no cucumbers. For the $50 dollars we spent we could have went to many places with better quality/tasting food for lunch. It would be a perfect spot for us to stop when we're out that way camping but we'll drive further to get...

This was always our go to place. Not anymore. I get it, the price of everything is going up and that would be fine if the food quality at least stayed the same. Last few times we have gone at least one of us has been disappointed in our order. I don't mind waiting for food. Having to wait do to short staff is one thing ,but then to have one or more of your items taste nasty that is another. We will not be going back.There are plenty of other restaurants that have much better food and regard for there customers. Once a loyal customer.and now we will never again waste our money and taste buds on this...

First time in Kirkland, my friend took me to the restaurant. I asked my waitress what I needed to try in order to have the authentic Kirkland experience and she pointed to a trophy on the wall they had won for their fish dishes.
