Michael's Restaurant — Restaurant in Franklin Township

So I understand that our waitress was new but she did not clean off any tables and when new patrons came in they had to sit at dirty tables. Some people even just turned around and left. When we came in the waitress was nowhere to be seen but there was a sign that said "please wait to be seated" and there was money strewn across the desk and a gentleman patiently waiting to pay. He graciously told her to keep the change from his bill. The waitress took our order and when it came out they had swapped our order. I ordered the cheese omelette home fries and white toast my s.o. ordered a veggie omelette with hash browns and rye toast. When the order came out she gave me the cheese omelette but everything else was his and vice a versa for him. It took a very long time for our order to even be taken. I am not blaming the waitress because she kindly explained that this was her first time on her own and they left her to deal with a rush all by herself. I feel very bad for her. I will tip her because this disaster was not her fault. In the 45 minutes we were waiting the rest of the staff was just in the back not helping and aware that it was busy. At 10:45 this morning, the wife & I walked into Michael's for breakfast. This has been our usual breakfast place for over 5 years. Never a complaint. Today, there were two people waiting tables. A young waiter who we'd never seen before asked "what do you want to drink"? No politeness, no introduction. We thought, maybe he's busy or having a bad morning, or something to that affect. About 5 minutes later, he walks over and says nothing else but "Whattdya want"?? We gave him our orders. Standard menu items, no special requests. 11:20 hits, still no food. As we were watching other people get their food that had ordered after us, the waitress who was amply waiting on every other table asked if we had ordered. We found a hidden gem at Michaels Restaurant. We were looking for a place to eat with friend of our when I remembered reading about Michaels having good italian food. None of us had ever eaten there or knew anyone that had but thought we would give it a try. We were a little hesitant when we arrived as it doesn't look like much from the outside or for that matter the inside either but ........ low and behold a true find!! The menu has anything for anybody! Prime rib so big it doesn't fit on the plate! Ribs pasta excellent chicken parm! Melts in your mouth! Pizza, salad, homemade soup! But don't eat it all!
