Rachel's Diner — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Our family of 6 ate at Rachel's for the first time tonight since it reopened under new ownership. The food was outstanding. I had the walleye and it was perfect. We also had salmon and a hot beef sandwich and greek salads. Our grandson had hash browns and nuggets from the kids menu but also had to have an order of the shoestring french fries which he loved. Overall not only was the food fresh and good but the service was fast and efficient. We can't wait to go again. We are local but our daughter drove 2 hours to visit and was also very satisfied. Today ordered food for my son and I and it was carry out! I opened my box to eat and found a black hair on my onion, so at first I really wasn’t mad because I know it happens so I called and let them know very calm and nice and the girl then proceeded to act all bothered and said bring it back and they would remake it, so I sent my son to pick it up and they were rude to him, my son said they snatched the box out of his hand and threw it it the garbage not a sorry nothing! I ordered a Patty melt. The onions where perfect. Nice caramelized not limp. We will definitely be back. A nice little hole in the wall. I'm sure operating is done by the family. Support this place. Stop by for a great atmosphere, and good food. Also a nice touch with the French fries seasoning. Good flavor, but not overpowering. Like a lot of seasoned fries. We went again this afternoon.
