Horrendous Service We stopped in for a fish fry on Good Friday. We got there at 6pm. It was crowded but there were several tables open. They told us about a 45min wait. We were 2 people and they kept taking tables of 4 prior to us getting seated even though we were there first before them. Finally sat down at 715pm and we were starved. It took about 5 minutes for the waitress to come to the table. We ordered soup with our fish. When we ordered our meal she stated that they were out of baked cod and potato pancakes. Really? On Good Friday at 7pm and they were out of baked cod and potato pancakes?!? Who plans for their fish fry? Helen Keller? They cannot whip up pancakes??? We waited patiently for our soup but it never came. The waitress would come by and look at us and finally a bus boy brought our soup 5 minutes before we were served the fish. It was boiling hot to the point that we could not eat it prior to our fish coming 5 minutes later. We waited nearly ½ for the fish. Once the fish came the waitress never came back to see how our food was, finally did after we were nearly done and I had to ask the bus boy for water after she forgot to bring it even though I just ask her when she finally came back to the table the only time other than to bring the check. The waitress had plenty of time to socialize with two people she knew at a table nearby that she was not even serving, but not to see how our meal was. The food was decent but certainly not worth the wait or the crappy service. I understand that it was busy for Good Friday but the service and lack of food a few hours after starting a fish fry was pathetic. We will...

I saw this place while looking up something else in the area and had to look into it further. The menu options definitely made me want to try out this place. It was a little confusing for a first timer walking in the door as there wasn't a host / hostess stand. I asked someone and got all kinds of information pretty quickly. They have a large seating area (Banquet room) that they open up for their busier times. Otherwise, you can seat yourself in the dining room or outside. The service was ok. Our main waitress was nice but not openly friendly like I would have expected at a comfortable place like this. There were food runners that helped out and took plates away. Everyone seemed to be focused on keeping busy. That could have been why the waitress seemed just nice. Not positive. They do pass along the credit card charges to the customer but they are very clear about it. It wasn't a surprise and you can choose cash or credit. I have been to other places that aren't so transparent about the credit card fees. I appreciated this place for sure.

I am positive that this place deserves a stop to check it out. Then when you start looking into the menu, you realize that this place deserves a few stops! The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The other customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves like they were at a friend's...

The Hideaway is aptly named as it should stay hidden. Don't try to find this place as you will just be disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would. The food is just that bad. Not to mention how overpriced everything is. With how much they are charging you think they could update their furniture/decor that was copied straight from a 90's Pizza Hut. Waitress took our order and we asked for Coke and were given Pepsi. Waitress kept calling it Coke like she didn't understand there was a difference.

Ordered all you can eat ribs that came with choice of fry and coleslaw. Ribs were dry, burnt, and bland. All you can eat was a waste as I couldn't even stomach one plate. Coleslaw was unremarkable. Wife had the meatloaf which was also burnt and tasted nothing like meatloaf. I tried a bite and had to spit out pieces of bone. Why is there bone in meatloaf?? Low quality ingredients but even lower quality cooking. Each plate of food was very one note and lacked any seasoning, spice, or actual flavor. Burning everything is not a substitute for flavor. Prices are so outrageous compared to the quality of food that it's insulting.
