I saw this place while looking up something else in the area and had to look into it further. The menu options definitely made me want to try out this place. It was a little confusing for a first timer walking in the door as there wasn't a host / hostess stand. I asked someone and got all kinds of information pretty quickly. They have a large seating area (Banquet room) that they open up for their busier times. Otherwise, you can seat yourself in the dining room or outside. The service was ok. Our main waitress was nice but not openly friendly like I would have expected at a comfortable place like this. There were food runners that helped out and took plates away. Everyone seemed to be focused on keeping busy. That could have been why the waitress seemed just nice. Not positive. They do pass along the credit card charges to the customer but they are very clear about it. It wasn't a surprise and you can choose cash or credit. I have been to other places that aren't so transparent about the credit card fees. I appreciated this place for sure. I am positive that this place deserves a stop to check it out. Then when you start looking into the menu, you realize that this place deserves a few stops! The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The other customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves like they were at a friend's place. Great vibe!

Went for a fish fry & we’ve heard rave reviews about this place. We have had their fish before & we really liked it. We were here at 4:30 (a very late lunch for us) & there wasn’t any wait. The fish fry was ok, the baked fish was dry. The potato pancakes looked grey like a hamburger patty, and we were given one little cup of tartar sauce, & the 2nd cup was $.50. The woman who was the food runner was wearing what looked like she could have rolled out of bed & put on shoes. She didn’t look like a person who should be handling food, inside a kitchen with a very loose ponytail (if you can even say that) or anywhere that was near food. Our server was inattentive & we had to ask another server for the bill. Very displeased & will not go back. Lastly, the ladies room looked like it has not been cleaned in a while (toilet was disgusting).

Omg best food I have had in a very long time. Wings are out of this world. Jumbo wings and very meaty (non of that chewy meat this was super tender bone in wings). Ordered the Milwaukee burger and it was hands down the best burger I have ever had. Burger was oozing in beer cheese stacked with bacon and caramelized onions. Hamburger meat was real meat none of that frozen patty garbage. First time tried this place and I'm blown away. Wife is super picky and was get happy with the teriyaki bowl. The wing flavors I tried was habenaro mango and Thai chili and was very happy with both. Bar played great music and crowd was great. Bartenders and servers had A+ service. Thanks for the awesome experience. We will be back.

It's been a couple years since my last visit to the Hideaway. Let me say, the Fish Fry is great. Both the 2-piece and 3-piece Fish Fries, have hand-breaded cod that has mildly, crunchy batter AND flaky fish. Perfectly done! Try the Tater Tots -they were actually better than the fries. Rye bread and Cole slaw are ok, not spectacular. Only drawback is just one small cup of tartar sauce. I have to say, the fish is nearly good enough to skip the tartar sauce, but traditionalist will want their tartar! We skipped the crowded Friday diner, and did Take out. It was done in 10 minutes. Long enough for an Old-fashioned! Yum! With 2 tartar cups, the Fish fry gets 5 stars! We'll be back.
