Bernie's Bar — Restaurant in Frankton

First off, try and find a better deal on food literally anywhere. I couldn't believe the amount I got for what I paid and it was a to go order.

2x Cheeseburgers 1 Steakburger 1 Club Sandwich 1 Chicken Sandwich 2x Orders of Chicken tenders (huge) 2x Fries Fried Pickles Fried Cheeseballs

Total: $56

The best part, it was good. It's no frills, but more than what you pay for IMO. You could easily charge me another $25 and I wouldn't have even batted an eye. Nobody is going to go hungry here, that's for certain!

The place itself has character. I wasn't there long, but there's a lot of things to see. You can tell it's been there a long time and there's some stories to tell. The room was full, if was Friday, and I was asked what I'd like within a reasonable amount of time just like you would be at any full bar restaurant.

I'll be back. It's kind of crazy I've never been there before as it's 15 minutes from where I live and it's a word of mouth kind of place. If I had to guess, they like it that way and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Bernie's Bar is a hidden gem tucked away in rural Indiana. It is what it is, but the folks that frequent the bar are some of the nicest and hospitable folks you will ever meet. The bar is dingy and old fashioned, but that is most of the appeal. The waitresses and bartenders and friendly and welcoming, but if you've never been there before you might get a quick stare down...it is a small town after all and people do not pass through often, consider it curiosity not rudeness. Be sure to try the breaded tenderloin (about as a big as your head) or the classic cheeseburger. There is also a wide variety of fried fixin's anywhere from taco sticks to fried crawdads! The beer is not served from the tap, but by bottle or can. A young crowd frequents the bar on Fridays and Saturdays and things can get a little wild, but it's small town FUN! Worst service and bar I've ever been to went for carryout waiting 30 minutes to be served for carryout and said they couldn't cause it was passed 8 on Sunday. Said I should've gotten there earlier. There were 2 bar tenders and there were only a few people in there. Their food is okay. I'f I were anyone that's the only thing I'd go there for. If your wanting a good fun time and good drinks. Definitely would not recommend. I wouldn't even recommend one star very rude there and they have their favorites even though before I've tipped 30 dollars and still get treated terribly by that same bartender and kicked out for life because I had a question on why I didn't get served for 30 minutes when only 5 people where there .
