The Friendly Tavern — Restaurant in Frederic

I was never impressed with the food with the previous owner and wanted to give the new owners a try. I ordered food online for pick up. Impressive website. The online ordering system was great! Quick and easy to use. I decided to order pizza, even though I was not sure what I was getting exactly. It just said "pizza" with no description or size. It was only $13 so I thought maybe it was a personal size. It turns out it's a frozen pizza, but it was a better frozen pizza than a Jack's. When my husband arrived, he asked for the pizza, the worker went over to open the oven, looked at it then paused and called over another worker. They discussed something briefly and then put the pizza in a bag and brought it to my husband. We realized after seeing the pizza at home that they must have been deciding whether the pizza was too burnt to serve or not. I wish they would have just showed him and asked if he was ok with it. I definitely feel like we overpaid for what we received. I would suggest that this business add a pizza description to their website... like list the name of the frozen pizza and the size so that your online customers know what they are getting. I am not ready to give up on this place yet, but next time I will try a burger and pass...

We had been at a family members house on Christmas Eve too visit and on the way home, we wanted to stop and get dinner. The only place serving was Friendlies. We stopped and got a drink, appetizers and burgers. The food was delicious, all of it was served hot and had great flavor. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we were given and we received everything we had ordered. The customer service was efficient and friendly. We were made to feel welcome there. I had a really awesome burger and fresh cut fries at Skol Bar & Grill in Frederick, Wisconsin. The friendly owner created many interesting burgers for the menu; he also makes a delicious sauce for dipping, marinade or sandwich spread that is available for sale. He put a lot of effort into improving the aesthetics of the bar; it has rustic and modern elements and was very clean. Pool table in back, games dispersed throughout.
