Huddle House — Restaurant in Fredericktown

We went for a late Supper so when we went in we were the only Patrons. The Waitress, Whitleigh, welcomed us and told to set anywhere we were comfortable. After we got seated she took our drink order that's when we told her we were going to make her job easy in waiting on us, we have a Coupon describing our meals. She responded, that's perfect. So as she took our drink order she alerted the Cook, Justin, who got right to it and fixed it to perfection. Our Waitress promptly brought our drinks and shortly our food thereafter. She asked if we needed or wanted any condiments and brought those to the table. She asked once more if we needed or wanted anything else. She then brought us mayonnaise, Onion and extra napkins. All of this was taken care of and engaged in conversation as well not just treating us like a booth number. She checked on us a couple more times and then, because our waitress got caught up with another duty, the Cook came and checked on us. The restaurant was clean, the food was just right, the Staff was hospitable in every sense of the word. Not very often do you read about music in a review but I'd like to say, for me, it was the perfect sounds for supper. The overall atmosphere was comfortable. The Crew working together on Jan 4, '20 appeared to work very well with each other and that's a deciding factor for us as to when or even if we visit again, and we will!

Return visit 8/10/22: Waiter mixed an Arnold Palmer for me. What's special about that, you ask. It's not...

My review from three years ago gave 3 stars and said: "Usually pretty good hashbrowns and eggs. Sometimes a little greasy. My waffle was pretty thin and crispy, not my personal favorite, but still ok overall."

But today, the service was so great I decided to update my review. The food is what it is at Huddle House, it's decent, but a chain. However, Ammy was the sweetest waitress. Service was definitely 5 stars, probably 6. She made me the cutest hot cocoa and really took care of me and my dad this morning for breakfast. She made sure we got everything we needed, was quick, and also offered some nice conversation. Our order was perfect. All the workers were friendly and in a good mood, saying bye as we left. Ammy even opened the door for us on our way in. I haven't had that kind of service at even the fanciest restaurants I've been to. It was really nice.

Everything was nice and clean too, one of the best Huddle Houses...

I have been frequenting this place ever since i started doing restocks for a company in the southern missouri region. I usually get there when its really early and there is just a few customers so the service has always been super fast and extremely friendly. Its nice that the staff remembers their customers. They know me so much now they know what i drink and what i want before i tell them.

As for the food. I have absolutely no complaints. There was one time they gave me sausage instead of bacon but it wasnt a big deal as they served up that crunchy bacon i love in no time. Everything is cooked just as ordered. Their grits got me hooked on grits and its sonething i eat regularly at home. I usually order the smokehouse platter. Its a lot of good food that will keep you going for a while.
