My wife and I were told about this place by my plumber/hvac guy. We figured it was going to be good but yet, typical Jersey pizza and whatnot. And to be frank, it is in an unassuming building, in a place sort of off the beaten path. But that does not matter in the end. I would drive across the country to get this food again. We started with calamari, that was fresh and crisp and really good. Then things got better from there. I had lobster ravioli with shrimp and she had steak linguine with gorgonzola something or other. Mine was amazing, and I was sharing with my wife, to be sure she could taste how great as well. And I wasn't even thinking about what she may have on her plate. When she offered a taste I thought it might be good but, not as good as my ravioli. Wrong! It was truly amazing. It was different, and really good, and my wife was literally giddy that she had a plateful to eat sitting in front of her. Then the garlic bread came and just when we thought things couldn't get better, it did! The bread was sooooooo damn good! I was able to finish my meal, my wife was not, and we are happy to have the bread left over as well, they give you a lot. I can't forget to mention the great service and attentive server we had. I will not share her name but, I can assure you that they all were providing top notch service. Hopefully she may be able to figure out who we were and know that are talking about her by reading our order above (also, I had Merlot and she had Pino Grigio) and the following. It was last night (Friday 5-3), we raved to you about the food and service, and told you it was our first time visiting Cesco's and we had no idea what was coming when we sat down. We gave a $31 tip. Amazing food, people/service and we can't wait to go back to try other things on the menu. As my wife said "Thank goodness this place is near our home," it is our new favorite...
Read moreI’ve dined inside Cesco’s restaurant a few times. Always a good experience. Last evening I attended a small gathering, 30 some people, hosted in their outside Gazebo. A first time adventure for me. The weather was a bit cool and rainy. I was impressed how comfortable it was. The tables, bar and a buffet table for the event, well engineered, plenty of room to move about.
The evening started out with a fresh antipasto and hand size samplings or their flat bread pizzas, which I’d say were beyond the norm. Main course at the buffet table included a tender Chicken Marsala, moist Penne alla Vodka, Eggplant Rollatini with a perfect red sauce (not too acidic or too sweet, perfectly seasoned), and traditional Sausage and Peppers. I gotta say, this is the first time I have walked away from a buffet-hot table and went back for 3rd’s. Every dish was fresh. Even the dinner rolls! Desserts included finger size cannoli, egg clair and more, all once again Fresh! When it was time to leave I managed to exit with a packed tin of the night’s main course morsels that will keep fed for 3 days. My only regret was I forgot to grab a plate of their desserts.
The bar inventory was more than adequate. My glass contained ginger ale this evening as I had a bit of drive, but I could tell the other quests were content with all the beverages.
Staff wise, usually an issue in these situations, simply professional. A young lady appeared as quickly as comet, and with a smile, to top off my glass, and to provide an extra fork. I never had to raise a hand. She was exceptional.
Quite simply. Cesco’s has the entire hosting formula down pat. They...
Read moreI heard about Cesco at my eye doctor's office, so I'm going home to stop by and brought some food home. A grandma Sicilian pie, one cheese calzone and a cream of mushroom soup and 2 cannolis. Now I moved out here in stroudsburg pa in 199, and I couldn't find any good pizza, it's was like cardboard with ketchup. I would eat pizza anytime I go back to new york. I m, an a few pizza shops here in pa is a no no some so so. Now they are in new je, sey and there are lots of great pizza shops around in new jersey but far from me. Let me tell you when I was riding home i kept smelling the pizza so grabbed one and OMG I thought I was driving on the LIE. It was better then unberters pizza shop in long island. Not greasy and crisp. Ate that night and my wife loved the soup and the calzone was a perfect balance of muzz and ricotta cheese not water shooting out of it. My take a wonderful place and great food. Have to place a order soon and drive out 35 minutes becaues it is definitely worth it. Great job you guys at Cesco are doing and yes, they were very...
