Gloryridge Tavern and Grill — Restaurant in Freedom Township

If I could give this place a 10 star I would. I can't get over how delicious this food was. The ambiance is awesome. The waitress ( Nicole) was probably one of the best we have ever had. Extremely attentive And very friendly. We even met the chef who stayed and talked with us for a while . The hostess and even the bartender were very personable. I got the filet and crab cake and it was perfectly done. Delicious!!!! Tartar sauce was homemade. The side, which was scalloped potatoes, was homemade and out of this world delicious and was a huge serving. They even gave me a free dessert from my birthday. I had read a previous review that said the menu was pretty limited. The menu is not 10 pages long but they had a huge selection of appetizers and entrees were varied . I am very picky and I had a hard time deciding between several meals . After we ate, I inquired about the banquet room and we were given a private tour by our waitress. This place is absolutely amazing and we cannot wait to go back. My husband surprised me with a trip to Gettysburg for our 20th anniversary. We both love Gettysburg so much. For our Anniversary dinner we wanted to try something new and came to find Gloryridge Tavern and Grill. And what a find it was. First the place is just beautiful and very comfortable. We did not have a reservation but Nicole (our server) found us a table for two. Nicole was a very nice and helpful woman. She suggested a delicious peach martini for me, and I must say it was scrumptious! Made with real peaches that are in season right now. My Husband got the surf and turf and the steak was cooked to perfection right along with the crab cake that came with it. The crab cake was made fresh. It was not a mushy lump of fake crab. I ordered the asiago chicken bake with garlic mashed potatoes and salted green beans with red peppers. All perfectly cooked and delicious! My husband and I have decided that is a stop we will make every time we go to Gettysburg from this day forward. Whiskey Sour sounded great, but had no egg white foam as was in the description, tons of ice. Charged $19.00 Smoked Old Fashioned with no flavor, very small amount but tons of ice. Charged $19.00 2 burgers that were well-done when asked to be med. rare Waitress came back to ask what I ordered because she couldn’t read her writing Our main waitress made us feel extremely rushed to pick drinks and order both appetizers and order main dishes. Brought us 2 orders of crab dip we never ordered. Thankfully she caught her error and delivered them to the right table Ordered salad in place of mashed potatoes and then had to ask for the salad once the entree came.
