Buckhorn Saloon — Restaurant in Freeman Township

The last couple of times we’ve been to Buckhorn the service has really been slacking and I’m sorry to say we won’t be back. Two visits ago our carryout was supposed to be done in 45-50min. Got there at the 50min mark and stood here another 30-40 min waiting for our order.

Tonight we ordered carryout of 5 pizzas and 2 orders of breadsticks for a group of us. We got there when it should’ve been ready and waited an additional 10min only to be told that one of our pizzas didn’t get put in and they wanted to know if we wanted to wait “a little while” for the other one to cook. We were offered a free beverage (which we declined) only to wait another 40min to find out that another pizza (which 3 of us witnessed being ordered) was never put on the order. Now over 90 min since we placed the order we were offered the 5th pizza free if we wanted to wait (which would’ve been another 35-40min) after 3 pizzas had already been out of the oven for over 45min. Where we were staying was a 20min ride each way so coming back for the 5th pizza just wasn’t an option at that point. Absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, the manager should’ve just offered a full refund at that point. If they can’t find more/better help they’d be better off closing, rather than...

We have had 3 terrible experiences here, and will never be back! We recently bought property in the area and this was a convenient stop over for dinner while traveling to or from our place. Every time we waited extremely long times just to get a menu or a drink and the food would take even longer. The floors were always dirty and the temperature freezing cold inside the building. No matter what the weather was like outside. The food was just mediocre at best. The final and last time, last night we arrived around 5:30 PM, waited for 10 minutes to get a drink order. It was another 40 minutes for the waitress came back to take our food order, and finally around 7:15 PM another waitress walked over to our table to let us know that our food ticket had never been put in. If this were an isolated incident it might be able to be overlooked but we had had two previous similar encounters with this restaurant. I used to like the Buckhorn when the original owners owned it the pizza was awesome full of meats cheese and all but since the new owners took over they changed menus the pizza is not the same the food is different I am really disappointed in the pizza we used to get it all the time as I live down the street from it the service was terrible the owner Lee was there with the other owner Mike her husband Ann Lee son came to take order of three took an order for one person locked and didn't come back and then I complained because of that and they did not do nothing besides tell me to leave this is the worst place ever they bad on hospitality they're very rude they don't know how to handle a busy crowd for there you would wait an hour and a half for food the most terrible experience ever in my life there I will never go back and most of these reviews are probably from family and that downstate I wouldn't believe...
